New class

Okay. I dropped my Physics course and grabbed another art course: 2D Design. I missed the first week, but there wasn't very much going on and I was able to catch up quickly. Probably because of artistic background ^_^ It's a cool class, not as cool as Physics, but still cool ^_^

Over the weekend, I got a new tennis racket and a couple of cans of balls for Tennis. Today we get to actually do the physical stuff ^_^ I just hope it doesn't rain o.o

!!!! Screams !!!!

I found out today that I got into Physics even though I didn't meet the pre-reqs for the course. This means that I need to drop Physics and find a different course >.< This is so messed up. Why couldn't they make an exception? Why did the computer allow me to register for it in the first place?  This sucks donkey! >.<

Now, I need to find a replacement course that still has seats available in the same time slot. GRRRR!!!!!

Dust covered stuff

I really need to go through my online profiles and accounts. Most haven't been updated in years and things have changed because I have changed. I look back on my beginning years and see a naive, little girl bouncing on the scene. Yeah, I had a good idea what I was doing and such. But I didn't realize my playground was only a sandbox in park. Even now, I understand that my park is just a small section in something bigger. The profiles and accounts that I'm using today were most likely created by the naive, little girl. It's time for me to bring them up to date and show who she has become.

Yuck! Nostalgic mood is kicking in. Go away! Leave me to my future! You're only a little bit of me now. I'm finding that nostalgia is a dangerous place for me to dwell. So, I'm doing my best to avoid it.

Anyway, time for me to head home.

Blue moon tonight

There will be a Blue Moon tonight. Not the current version of a blue moon. But the older, original version. As it stands today, a Blue Moon is the second full moon in a month. The original meaning of a Blue Moon was the third full moon in a four moon season. Season is what you think: Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring. The next old version of a Blue Moon won't occur until 2015.

Tennis anyone?

It's been awhile since I've had a PE class. I'm really not into competitive sports and basically that's all that the schools offer. But, to graduate, I need PE. So, I lucked out and found the college offers Tennis and that counts for PE. Well, half a year of PE. I'll need to take another semester of something to get a full year's credit. Anyway, this is a course, not the sport. Almost everyone in the class is taking it to learn to play tennis. In addition, we're learning about the history of the sport. There is a midterm and final in the class, both written and skill based. There is a textbook too. It goes over the history, rules, equipment, and basics.

This week's classes will be in the classroom. Today was the typical intro to the class, how we'll be graded, what is expected, handing out of the syllabus, equipment we need, etc. Thursday's class will be the basic rules of the sport and of the class. Then, next Tuesday, we'll meet at the tennis courts. Everyone is to bring an unopened can of tennis balls that go into the pool. The idea is to help replace all the tennis balls that get lost when we're first learning. And I swear that he was looking at me when he said that >.< LOL We are also responsible for our own rackets, none will be provided. Though he does have a couple on hand in case we forget ours.

All in all, this is going to be an awesome class ^_^

First day over

Lee picked me up this morning. It looks like he'll be my ride in the mornings this year ^_^ He's driven me around all summer, but something about him picking me up this morning just sent my heart go pitter-patter and stirred up the butterflies in my tummy <3

Homeroom: Programming in C++ This is going to be another awesome class. I only wish that it was college level. Yvonne is the only friend of mine that is in homeroom with me. Lee has Music, Kyle and Alice are in English.

My college courses for today were: American Literature, Animation I, and Calculus I. Tomorrow's courses will be: Physics, Drawing I, and Tennis I. As you can see, I'm still wishy-washy on my true major. I'll have to formally declare one very soon. But for now, I can grab as many interesting courses as possible ^_^

First day of classes

It's here! It's finally here. The first day of classes for a new year. I'm officially in 11th grade. This looks to be another awesome year ^_^ They've all been awesome, but this looks even more awesome LOL ^_^

Last day of freedom

And I'm stuck at home fighting a lawn mower that won't start GRRRRR! >.< Normally it wouldn't be that bad, but I'm racing the afternoon rain. If it hits, I won't be able to mow the lawn today and have to do it after school tomorrow o.o Suck donkey >.< Right now, I'm chilling out before my next attempt. I don't want to flood the engine or I will be doing it tomorrow.

Post canoe trip

Thursday, Aug 15th, 16:38: Rain. Rain. And more rain. Downpour. We expected this.

Well, I'm home. Almost everything I brought with me is soaked or damp. The canoe trip started out okay, but around 4:30pm, the first downpour hit. We took cover to wait it out and once it was over, we continued on. Then about 6:00pm the next downpour hit. Again, we took cover and waited it out. Undeterred, we continued on. 20/20 hindsight suggests that was a mistake >.< We made it to island by the third downpour hit. It didn't last very long and afterwards, the sky was blue and almost clear. It wasn't until after midnight that the storms came back. We weren't ready, none of us. Everything got soaked >.< We were miserable. We were giggling too ^_^ It was freaking fun ^_^ I want to do it again ^_^

Canoeing

Yesterday we decided that we haven't done any canoeing lately. So, we're going canoeing today! We're also planning a sleepover at one of the islands tonight. This is going to be awesome! ^_^ I miss camping out in the woods. I did some camping during Summer camp. But there was like twenty of us. Tonight, it's only going to be seven of us: myself, Lee, Hannah, Kyle, Yvonne, and Rob and Mark (Yvonne's brothers). We were going to just borrow the canoes, Yvonne's mom found out and sent Rob and Mark to watch over us >.< It isn't that bad. They're cool ^_^ Anyway, we should be back tomorrow afternoon. I hope it doesn't rain (or maybe I hope it does ^_^) But it does look like it's trying too.

It's that time

It's time to clean out my satchel. I tend to accumulate tons of stuff over time and it all adds up. So, I started yesterday. I took everything out of my satchel and put it into another bag. I'm carrying both at the moment. As I need something, I take it out, use it, and put it away in my satchel. By the end of the week, I should have only the things I use. I do a quick review over what I didn't use. If I might need it later, like aspirin and such, I add that back to my satchel. In theory, I should have a much lighter satchel in time for school ^_^ In theory, of course >.< LOL ^_^

One week left...

School starts next Monday. I'm hyped for a new year, new things to learn, new people to meet, well, new everything! ^_^ It'll be my 11th year and my guidance counsellor suggested that I can graduate high school at the end of this year if everything goes right ^_^ She said for all intents and purposes, I'm actually in college now, just doing the high school thing to meet the law and such.

Anyway, the sun is shining! The beach is calling! Actually, it was Yvonne calling a few minutes ago suggesting another beach day LOL ^_^ She wants to get a little more tanning in before we head back to school. On a side note, it seems that my freckles have been disappearing over the past few summers. Weird huh? I didn't think that was even possible. I still have freckles but their not as intense as they once were.

Saturday

I'll be going to the farmer's market in a little bit with mom. Then we'll head over to the beach for the rest of the morning ^_^

My classes are set for this year. Yesterday was when I had to pay for them. So, unless they get cancelled, or I need to drop some, I'm all set. Yesterday was also the day that I opened my first checking and savings account. I now have checks and a check card ^_^ Before, all that I had was a refillable money card from Walmart. Mom would pay me my allowance by adding it to my money card. That cost money. So now, I have a real card and a real account that I can put the money into ^_^

Oh, and this is my 700th post ^_^

Sand and surf

The humidity is up and there's no breeze. Beach day! ^_^ Yvonne will be over in a little bit and then we're going to walk down to the beach. With luck, the old people won't be there because the sun will be much higher in the sky. They kind of remind me of vampires; afraid to come out in the light of day. Yvonne and I haven't yet decided if we're going to lounge in the sun and darken up, or actually be active and swim and such ^_^ I usually only wear my bikini if I'm tanning (and showing off). When I swim, play, etc., I wear my one-piece; there's much less of a chance of a wardrobe malfunction O.O I'm sure Lee wouldn't have a problem with my malfunction :P But I'm sure he would have a problem if he wasn't there for it LOL ^_^

Arf! Arf!

The dog days of Summer are here. It's going to get hotter as the month goes on. Add the daily rain, and you've got a sauna, everyday for the rest of the month. I don't know why it's called the Dog Days. My dogs don't like it. It's way too hot and humid for them. I haven't been taking them running with me lately because I don't want to risk them getting sick. But, I do take them for exploration walks though ^_^ They're happy ^_^

School starts in a couple of weeks, both high school and college. Our state does a "no sales tax" weekend for school supplies and clothes. That ended yesterday. Needless to say, I'm well stocked in jeans, tops, undies (some smexy ^_^), sandals, running shoes, etc. I don't really need much in school supplies, with almost everything being done electronically. But do get some nonetheless along with tons of art supplies ^_^

Mornings are quiet

I was outside twice this morning. The first was with the dogs. The second was just to be outside walking the the damp grass. The sun is just beginning to come up and the night creatures are singing their final chorus of the night while the day creatures are setting the stage. I couldn't really see the stars either time I was out: clouds. Yeah, occasionally one or two stars would peek through a gap in the clouds. But I had to be looking just for them. Looking up, into the sky, is one of the first things I always do when I step outside. This morning I was greeted by a few rain drops. But some mornings, the star-scape is freaking awesome! ^_^
