Home again, home again ^_^

I'm home ^_^ Camp was awesome even though it rained most of the time. Another tropical storm came through the Gulf I think. It missed us, but we still got the effects of it. This morning was probably the first day that had no rain clouds. It's like they came for camp too and left early. Yup. They were waiting for me at home >.< LOL Tom, Jack, and Sasha were all happy when I got home ^_^ I got pounce and rubbed and everything from all three at the same time. My butt is still a little sore from when Jack knocked me over.

This year was also kind of sad for me. It's my last year going. I'm too old now for camp T_T It seems that I'm too old for most camps now. I'll have to find something else to do next year. Kind of sucks growing up. But, on the bright side, I'll be able to get my driver's license in a few more months ^_^ So that's a plus. Not much of a plus, but a plus none the less.

Lee missed me a lot <3 I had tons of txtmsgs from him waiting even though he knew I wouldn't get them until I got home. We talked for like a couple of hours on the phone before mom made me get off--I needed to unpack, defunk, and put away my stuff >.< Anyway, everything's all done and I'm squeaky clean and smelling of coconuts ^_^ Lee's going to try to come over for a little while tonight. If things go right, maybe he'll inspect the squeaky clean, coconut girl and give his approval ^_^ LOL <3

Summer Holiday!!!

Yes! Today is the first day of Summer holiday! Today is play because tomorrow is packing for camp. First, I'll be doing the traditional farmers' market-breakfast-beach thing with mom in a little bit. Afterwards, after removing the salt and sand from myself :P I'm going to meet up with Lee and mall-rat ^_^ Much later, we'll probably do the drum circle at the beach if it doesn't rain. Need to go, Mom's calling and Sasha is demanding both of my hands to be used to pet her >.< LOL ^_^

TerraFirmaCraft 2

I've been playing around some more with the TerrafirmaCraft mod today. I'm not so sure that I like it as much as plain vanilla Minecraft or Feed the Beast. I found a nearby island connected to the mainland by a strip of land. Relatively large but not too large. I've set up a stockade of log piles and am quite along with establishing myself on the island. However, there are a few things that make me question my continuing to play it.

First, is the mobs. They're extremely tough. Tough enough that I try to sleep the night away to keep too many mobs from spawning and that's on Normal difficulty. Normally, I only use the bed to set my spawn point, but not in TerrafirmaCraft. Mobs here require several hits with the primitive weapons that I have access to. I kind of think it wouldn't be any more difficult to just smack them with a flower >.<

Second, I seem to be occupied with daily tasks when I should be out exploring and caving. In fact, the closest I've come to caving was digging down and finding an underground ravine. I never went further because of the mobs vs weapons issue above. The reason I was digging down in the first place was to find hard rock to use to make simple metal tools that I can, in turn, use to make better metal tools to make better weapons. I've been in the game for like four game months so far and almost all of that time has been spent doing life stuff. Realism is nice, but only to a point.

Third, the mod itself seems buggy and glitchy. I lost a few items because of some of the glitches. I've also lost an expensive item that I ended up cheating back into the game because of the amount of time it took to make. I have no problem cheating something as a work around for a bug. But I get the feeling that I will be doing it more and more often as I proceed. And along the lines of buggy/glitchy, TFC's server seems to spaz out making it almost impossible to play. For some stupidic reason, the mod needs to contact the server. If it can't, then it crashes. Sucks big!

Anyway, enough ranting. It's bedtime for me and if I don't get into bed soon, Sasha will claim my pillow >.< LOL ^_^

Movie night

Yup, it's that time of the week. Lee's here. Yvonne's here. Kyle's here. I'm here. Tom's here. Jack's here. Sasha's here. Mom's here (but she'll probably go into her room in a little bit). Hannah's grounded so she couldn't come. She blew off her chores and chose to go to a friend's house. Yup, been there, done that, got the t-shirt myself . Anyway, tonight's pizzas are different. We're making them ourselves ^_^ I've been making the dough in the bread machine all afternoon and tossing it into the fridge. Mom picked up the toppings and cheese and sauce on her way home from work. Sadly, we lost one pizza. Yeah, if you don't know how to toss-spin them, you're almost guaranteed to drop one. Poor pizza o.o

Bad weather day

Rain. Rain. Clouds. Tons of blustery wind. That describes this morning. Cloudy and blustery describes the rest of the day until sunset and then morning is repeated. Yup. That was today. Mom and I did our normal Sunday shopping thing together. I got a couple of glow stick pendant necklaces at the dollar store. They're blue ^_^ Last week, or was it the week before, I got myself a package of neon starburst tags that you'd use for price tags and some neon postie place markers. I LOVE color ^_^ For some reason, I'm now collecting neon colored things ^_^ Grrrr! Sasha demands! attention at the moment. She keeps parking her head on my hand >.< hehehe ^ _^ She's adorable ^_^ <3

Still sore

Yeah, I'm still sore from last night and probably will be for the next few days o.o If it weren't for the soreness, I would say it was a good kind of soreness. But if there wasn't any soreness, then how could it be a good kind of soreness. Unless, having no soreness makes it a good kind of soreness. But that would mean that I have soreness even though it's a good kind o.O LOL ^_^ I'm going to take the dogs out in a little bit for a run. We'll see how far I can get. But, first, I have to wait for Sasha to stop being an attention whore >.< LOL ^_^

Final mowing

Mom and I spent more or less most of the day doing yard work and gardening. It's far enough into Winter that we will probably not need to do it again until next year. The coolness of the day made the work seem effortless. Even Tom and Jack assisted with fetching pine cones and sticks and such; Sasha was too busy hogging her sunspot to help lol ^_^

Alone

Dad's gone and Lee's working. The house seems so empty. Even Tom and Jack and Sasha are hard pressed to cheer me up. What's bad is even if my parents weren't divorced, it would still be the same.  Dad's job keeps him travelling everywhere. I don't like feeling this way. So, I'm going to over to Alice's. She has always been there for me ^_^

Hurricanes and tests.

Hurricane Issac is on its way. It's supposed to be here sometime Monday, but with luck, it'll be further west in the Gulf instead of skimming the shore or worse. Mom's going through the check list of stuff we have and need for our Hurricane Kit. The dogs and cat are all up to date with their shots though we need a crate for Sasha. We totally forgot about her O.O If for some horrible bad luck we end up at a shelter, the dogs and cat need to be in crates. Otherwise, they can't stay >.< Where the heck are they going to go????? People can be so cruel. Anyway, this is probably causing all the rain we've been getting in the afternoons lately. Which is no problem for me. I love running in the rain and so do Tom and Jack ^_^

We have an essay test tomorrow in English. Well, it's sort of a test and sort of an assignment. The instructor wants to find out how we do under pressure of the clock. Apparently all the "big" tests have an essay question that counts like 20% of the final total. So, we have to practice essay questions. It doesn't bother me one bit though. I love essay questions ^_^

Summer's come and gone (almost)

Wow, it seems that this Summer was a quick one. I can't believe that it's almost over with. Art Summer Camp is over, so I'm not needed to help out with the kids. I loved doing that. It's just mind boggling @_o Just think, next month, mom and I are going to be dragging the Autumn decorations out and making the house look autumny. Then, a month later, Halloweeny. And then Thanksgivingy and finally Christmasy.

It's raining now. More like a torrential down pour. Oh, and add thunder to which means, there are two huge dogs trying to crawl into my lap every few minutes >.< The real problem is that my lap is barely big enough for my kitteh ^_^

So tired

If you haven't already guessed by now, I was in the Everglades for the last week ^_^ There were still enough people signed up. I'll go into more detail another time. But for the record, I had a blast! ^_^ I was kind of sorry that it was only a week. They were thinking of extending it a week, but with TS Debby and such, they couldn't o.o

Like I said in the title of this post, I'm so tired. I get home and the dogs mob me. After I loved on them for like forever, it was Sasha's turn for some loving ^_^ Then I had to unpack and do laundry and call my friends and fill them in. Lee came over and hung out with me while I did laundry. Mom bought us all McDs for dinner and then Lee and I went to the beach for the drum circle. I got home about 30 mins ago. I was very busy today ^_^

Tomorrow, I'll be cooking dinner for mom. Her birthday Thursday, the 12th and dinner will be part of my present to her ^_^

Second day of Summer Vacation

It clouded over yesterday afternoon but never really rained. It tried, tried hard to, but never happened. It still feels like it wants to this morning though. I kind of hope that it does; I like running in the rain. But only if it is warm rain ^_^

A note about my postings. My goal for this blog was to post at least once everyday while in school. I did that. Yay me ^_^ Now Summer is here and I have lots of things to do. I'll probably won't be posting daily during for a few months. There will be a time or two where I won't be posting for a week or two. It's kinda hard to do in the middle of the Everglades for example ^_^

Anyway, Sasha wants my attention now. She's kind of jelly of my iPad LOL ^_^

Last day of school!

Yes! I just need to finish today! ^_^ Even the dogs, Tom and Jack, seem to be in a bouncy mood this morning. Sasha is happy because my head is no long occupying her pillow on her bed >.< Lol The sky is clear, star filled still, but clear. So, yes, I'm riding my bike this morning ^_^

Thunderstorms and tornadoes o.o

Apparently we had tornadoes around us last night o.o No watches. No warnings. Nothing. We didn't find out about them until after they were gone >.< Luckily no one was hurt and there was almost no damage and such ^_^

Tonight, just after dinner, thunderstorms came in and the news stations sent out alerts about sever weather. It grew dark and that's a couple of hours before sunset. Then the winds picked up and the rain. Sheets and sheets of rain blown by the wind, almost sideways at times o.o And thunder, loud, heart stopping thunder claps. The six of us (Lee, mom, Sasha, Jack, Tom, and me), sat in the living room watching and listening o.o Mom had her laptop on and was watching the weather maps. After about an hour, the worse of the storm was over and we kind of spread out more. Mom said that there was no tornadoes this time ^_^ Lee and I turned on Netflix and are watching some more Doctor Who. Mom's in her room. Sasha and the dogs are probably in my room. No, Jack's in with mom and Tom's in the kitchen munching on dry food ^_^

Weekend summary

About the weekend...

Around 8am, Lee left for his house and I started getting ready for my dad. He got here about an hour later. I spent all day Saturday and Sunday with him. Actually, he spent both days and Saturday night with me ^_^ Saturday we did my birthday party. There were eight of us: my dad and mom, Lee and Hannah, Yvonne, Kyle, and Alice. Oh, and Tom and Jack and Sasha ^_^

Hannah gave me a friendship bracelet that she made herself. She got one of those craft kits, but didn't like the color string that was included. So she used her own string and beads. It looks like one of those things you would rather die than wear: bright, neon colors. It was PERFECT!!! I loved it and am wearing it now <3 ^_^ I wish I had it for graduation last year, it would have gone perfect with my neon nail polish and ribbons woven in my hair ^_^ Thank you Hannh! <3 ^_^

Yvonne gave me this beautiful choker that she made. Think goth plus steampunk and you have a good idea what it looks like ^_^ Her brothers gave me a voucher for "driving lessons." They took Yvonne and me out to the abandoned back roads and taught us to drive their dying Jeep ^_^ We were pretty good by the end of the day ^_^ Now that I'm 15, they can do it again, this time without being as sneaky ^_^ Thank you Yvonne and family <3 ^_^

Kyle gave me a couple of Reggae CDs that we played for most of the day ^_^ Thank you Kyle <3 ^_^

Alice gave me a sister to the beany baby puppy she gave me last year. She's so cute! LOL ^_^ Thank you Alice <3 ^_^

Both my dad and mom gave me gift cards, Visa gift cards that can be used anywhere ^_^ My mom also gave me my party. My dad gave me himself <3

Saturday was mostly my birthday stuff. After everyone left, dad and I went out back and just watched the stars and super moon and talked about stuff. Sunday morning, I cooked breakfast for dad and mom, standard bacon and eggs with buttered toast and coffee. Then dad and I went out Sunday and just hung out together. I showed him some of my favorite places. We picked up mom and had a sunset picnic for dinner at the beach ^_^ I was already missing my dad by the time the stars came out and he hadn't even left yet o.o I miss you dad and love you too <3

Going to the zoo today!

Yes! Going to the zoo today. It's been some time since I was at a zoo. I think that zoo was Lowry Park. Yeah, that was it ^_^ Lee's still here but he won't be coming with us. He already had plans with his family. We'll drop him off at his house when we leave later. But at the moment, he and Sasha are busy nomming my toes >.< lol!

Gifts

Typical Sunday routine except no Burger King for breakfast o.o Walmart, dollar store, groceries. Afterwards, Lee came over with some presents for me O.O One was Lego set, sort of a cross between "The Mummy" and "Star Gate" I guess he knew that I love Legos. It would be hard not to know after stepping barefoot on some of the bricks that escaped being put away LOL Poor Lee ^_^ And the other gift was a blue Hexbug. That thing moves like a cockroach O.O Poor Sasha was "attacked" by it. Even though it just moves randomly, it seem to have a mind of its own and chased her off the floor LOL Of course Tom and Jack had to come and see what was going on and decided that they might kill it by barking at it. It ignored them and in fact started chasing Jack LOLOLOLOL In case you didn't know, Tom and Jack are my dogs. They each weigh a few pounds more than me. I love them so much ^_^

Morning Meditation and Kitty

Do you know how hard it is to do yoga and meditate while your kitty is demanding attention? I was sitting on the floor, trying to meditate when Sasha decided that she absolutely needed some attention. She climbs into my lap, starts brush her head against my hands and finally gives up and puts her face in mine like, "hellooooo?" >.< So I give up and pet and scritch her and such. She's happy and wanders off. A little bit later, I'm doing yoga and she's back again for even more attention >.< Even now, as I type this, she's sitting right next to my hands ready to intervene the moment I stop typing >.<

I love my kitty ^_^
