Another final down: Descriptive Astronomy. Only three more finals left and a final painting project in Painting I.
On a disappointing note, dance class was cancelled tonight o.o Our instructor was out of town for family problems. She's been having a run of bad luck lately. I hope things improve though.
A year or two ago, my 8th grade English teacher required the entire class to do individual blogs. This blog is a continuance of that assignment.

One final down
Today was the final for English II. Pure essay questions ^_^ I love those types of tests. As long as you're comfortable with writing, it's almost impossible to go wrong with essay tests. The professor is looking for your understanding of the topic (and proper grammar and spelling). A lot of times for me, it's easier to show my understanding this way than by check boxes and multiple guesses.

Sunday's failed rain
It looked like it was going to rain this afternoon, but it never did. I was spared having to mow the lawn today ^_^ But it's only a temporary reprieve o.o I kind of wished that it had rained, then I wouldn't feel so guilty about not doing the lawn.
Tomorrow is the beginning of Finals week. I'm ready ^_^

Dress shopping
Mom is going to take me dress shopping for next week's dance. She's letting me bring Teagan and Yvonne along. In fact, she actually asked if Teagan would like to come. I think she and Teagan enjoy playing dress-up doll with me >.< LOL

Finals Week
Next week is Finals week for my college classes which means finals for all but one of my classes. I spent most this week tutoring my other classmates for next week. Like I keep saying, I study by teaching and helping others. It's a way to apply what I've learned ^_^

Diva 2
Yesterday I did as I had planned; I deleted my old Opensim world and created a new one with that current Diva build. It's sixteen regions (4x4) with almost nothing on them. Well, there is a couple of things. My first test build was the monolith from "2001: A Space Odyssey". The second was a mesh sphere that I built in Blender then attempted to upload with Firestorm. But Firestorm kept dying whenever I clicked the menu option to open the upload diagram >.< I ended up switching to a new viewer: Cool VL Viewer. That one had no problem uploading ^_^ So, bye-bye Firestorm and hello Cool Viewer ^_^
Before I do anything major on my world, I want to do some terraforming. I'll need to create a terrain file and upload it and then tweak it thousands of times until I get it just the way I want it. I'll be doing that much later tonight after hanging out with Lee <3 ^_^

Diva
I discovered that there is a new diva build available. Diva is the preconfigured opensim package that I use. A couple of years ago, I discovered Second Life and wanted to play, but I wasn't old enough. You have to be 17 or older to join now >.< Anyway, mom and I found OpenSimulator (a.k.a. opensim) and she installed it for me on an old PC. Since then, I've had my own private virtual world to play in ^_^ There's really not much there at the moment. The database got trashed and I lost a lot of stuff a while back. I tried to recreate some of it, but got distracted. So I'll probably just trash everything and start over fresh. That's not a bad thing. This new build includes meshes and I only just started playing around with them. Meshes are marvelous things. Until they came along in opensim, you'd have to construct things out of the basic building blocks that you tortured into shape. Or you would have to use sculpties. But the detail of the sculpties failed as you increased the size of the creation. With meshes, you create your idea in a 3D modeling program such as Blender and then upload it to your world. Meshes have as much detail as you desire and the server can handle.

Dance class fail
It appears that our dance class is dying out. When we got to class tonight, we found that about two thirds of the class was missing. Most of the MIAs were newer people and almost all of the older ones that found it difficult to keep up with the class. I guess they just thought the class was a lost cause and gave up. Though, I also believe that they were already giving up and just wanted an excuse to leave. Anyway, those of us that were left were sort of the hardcore students. But even our loyalty won't save the class unless we can find a new instructor o.o
Dad
I miss you so much T_T and love you even more <3

Horribly bad me
I've neglected doing any posts here the past week. Now, I'm forced to do catch-up. I'm sorry about the terseness of my last entries. I made simple notes on each day, hoping to come back it later and flesh it out. But that never happened. My bad o.o

Cloudy
And overcast skies are today's weather. It supposed to rain later, but we'll see. Mom and I are going to start back on our summer routine of going to the beach early in the morning on Saturday or Sunday. I'm not 100% sure if Lee would come with us. I kind of wish he would come. But then again, it is mom and me time. I don't know. I don't like this growing up and getting old stuff one bit.

Out of town
We visited my grand uncle today; the one stuck in an ALF for the rest of his life because of a stroke. The weather on the drive up was kind of weird. It was cloudy and drizzle rain. The weird part was the sudden temperature change. Around me, the was warm and humid and breezy. But about halfway to my grand uncle's, it became chilly enough for me to wrap up in a jacket. On the drive back, at the halfway point again, the temperature became warm again. I would have expected the change to have moved or evened out some after a few hours. But it hadn't. I guess the front stalled.

Spring
The jacarandas and silverwoods are in bloom again. So pretty ^_^ Also, the silk oaks are starting to blossom. Those are cool trees. They look like they're on fire when in full bloom. Yes, spring is here and soon it will be summer. It looks like I'll be doing the Everglades again this year while Lee does music camp I think this will probably be the last time for both of us to do summer camps. We're getting to old for that stuff and need to be thinking about jobs and money and beyond. Or so we're reminded by adults.

More music
Lee's fantastic when it comes to composing. Actually, he's fantastic, period ^_^ :P The new piece needed some more work last night and by tonight it was so much better ^_^ I'm so happy for him <3 ^_^

No work for Lee
Yup! Lee doesn't need to help his dad tonight. So, he's coming over to my house later this afternoon and we're going to hangout together ^_^ We'll probably end up at his house because he has a new piece that he wants me to listen to ^_^

No dance class
There's no dance class tonight. Our instructor is sick with a cold or something. She did say that she will be there next week and not to worry. So, I'm going to goof around on Minecraft later tonight ^_^

Tax day
Today is the deadline for everyone to pay their taxes. Mom did ours months ago. I still don't make enough from my odd jobs as a web programmer to have to worry. So all is good at the moment ^_^

Ant creature
The fire ants are building their cities along the edges of sidewalks and streets. It's kind of like they know what those are used for. Almost everyone views ants as individuals, but they're more cells in an organism than individuals. The colony is the "ant" with the queen being the primitive brain. It's constantly sending out tendrils in search of food and enemies. Just a passing thought.

Our drum circle
Lee and I did our drum circle tonight. We weren't sure that it was going to happen because of the weather. There were a few times I thought I felt raindrops and there was lightning off in the distance. But nothing came of it. The circle did break up earlier than normal just in case the weather turned suddenly. A few of us hung around for awhile longer sort of doing an improv circle ^_^ It was a blast nonetheless ^_^

Movie night
Yup, it's that time of the week. Lee's here. Yvonne's here. Kyle's here. I'm here. Tom's here. Jack's here. Sasha's here. Mom's here (but she'll probably go into her room in a little bit). Hannah's grounded so she couldn't come. She blew off her chores and chose to go to a friend's house. Yup, been there, done that, got the t-shirt myself . Anyway, tonight's pizzas are different. We're making them ourselves ^_^ I've been making the dough in the bread machine all afternoon and tossing it into the fridge. Mom picked up the toppings and cheese and sauce on her way home from work. Sadly, we lost one pizza. Yeah, if you don't know how to toss-spin them, you're almost guaranteed to drop one. Poor pizza o.o

More chocolate
I went out with Lee tonight. It was kind of raining a little. But the awesome part was the thunder. We had tons of it but almost no lightning bolts, just flashing in the clouds. So, we ended up spending most of the time in the coffee shop where he fed me more chocolate and hot mocha ^_^

Rainy Wednesday
Rain and more rain. It's been raining on and off since last night. Everything is wet and soaked. But! It's warm outside ^_^ After dinner, I'm going to take Tom and Jack for a long walk through the woods. I love the smell of the woods after it rains ^_^ What's cool is that when I see forest scenes in movies, I almost can smell the woods. Except when I'm about to stuff a handle full of popcorn in my mouth; then I smell the yummy hot butter stuff ^_^ LOL

Dance is almost gone
Still no replacement for our dance instructor o.o That really sucks. I've see other classes around and peeked in on them. But they're BORING! They're more pure exercise classes or they're for the really old people. Come on! Don't drag the rest of the class down to their speed. Create another class for them. Then you can focus exclusively on them. Anyway, I'm munching on Dove Dark Chocolates at the moment. A gift from Lee <3 ^_^ I think I'm going to do some Minecraft for a bit before bed.

Just a blah day
Hmm, really didn't do much interesting today. I played around with my guitar, researched on how to build a tube amp for it ^_^ Kind of expensive though o.o Lee and I had a fight but we made up <3 ^_^ Right now, I'm tired and I think someone is going to flip my off button. Sooo, byee ^_^y

A different circle
Lee and I did a different drum circle tonight, a smaller, more personal one. There were fewer drummers and the crowd wasn't as large. So you got the feeling that you were part of the circle and not just an observer. What was cool was that there were a lot more kids even though it was on a Sunday night. Kids bring life to the circle, I think. Older people, including most teens, really just stand around and listen. Some dance a little, but most seem to be worried about their "dignity." Kids on the other hand, could care less about their dignity. They just want to have fun and most of the kids there were doing that with hula hoops or rattles or just dancing ^_^ There was this cute girl that really got into it and danced around the perimeter of the inner circle while the rest of the kids just stayed in one spot and danced and hula hooped ^_^ She was adorable and a younger version of me ^_^

Saturday
I need some stuff for a couple of art/craft projects that I'm working on. So mom and i are going over to Hobby Lobby in a little while. I love hobby/craft stores ^_^ Though, Hobby Lobby and Michael's are more like craft department stores than hobby and art shops. They have a lot of everything and specialize in nothing. The selection is kind of limited to what is popular at the moment. There is an art store north of us that is an art store. Wall to wall, floor to ceiling, art supplies. They also carry niche items. For the longest time, I couldn't find Chinese and Japanese inks and brushes. But this store carries them and in a nice selection. Eventually some TV artist demonstrated them and now the craft department stores carry the popular brands. Grrr! Now I want to visit the art store in addition to the craft department store >.< Maybe next weekend ^_^

More rain
It's still raining. Or it was still raining. It quit about five minutes ago. I've been hanging out on campus until the worse of the rain has gone by and it looks like it has done just that. But it's now wet and chilly outside. I guess the rain was cold front. Anyway, I need to make a run for it before the rain starts again.

Rain
It's been raining since before I got up this morning and is still raining, a torrential downpour at the moment. I still have about 30 mins before I need to head to class. It should let up some by then, right? Right? I hope o.o :P

Minecrafty things ^_^
Okay, so I lost another Minecraft world this morning. It was my only hardcore world at the moment. I was derping around looking for ores and such and was did in by a spider jockey o.o Oh well, luckily I hadn't really established myself in the map yet. The only valuable thing that I lost was twelve iron.
I didn't play Bioshock (that's the first Bioshock, not the Infinite) last night. Dance class was one reason. And, Minecrack started up Ultra HardCore and I had to watch ^_^ What was really cool was that my favorite Youtubers were playing and distributed evenly around the teams. So, I was able to watch from all the teams' POVs ^_^ It was awesome watching the various play styles. Even more awesome, is to see how terrified the seasoned pros were. Some were even scared of their own shadows ^_^ While watching the videos, I couldn't understand their fright. Even after this mornings loss of my hardcore world, I still don't understand completely. I'll need to get a copy of the HC mod they're using and try a UHC world out. It's like fire: no matter how much warning you have about playing with fire, you don't learn until you're burned. o.o

Not looking good
My dance instructor still hasn't found anyone to take over her class. I really enjoy the class and will miss it if it goes away. Yeah, I can probably do the same thing without the class, in fact, I do, even before finding out about the class. But, there's no people, no sense of community that way. I love watching how the other students moved and danced. There's an elderly lady there that needs a walker to move around in everyday life. But once she's in class, she sets the walker aside. Her solo dances are beautiful. Slow and soft, like a young tree in a gentle breeze. It's almost impossible to believe that she's improvving it, but she is. ^_^

Wonderful day
Well, I successfully dodged most of the pranks and such. I navigated through my online feeds. Almost fell for the Minecraft 2.0 announcement. If MC had half the stuff the April Fool's prank has, it would be even more awesome ^_^ The pink, goofy Wither was so adorable ^_^ I want! ^_^ LOL For the most part, I played FTB, Bioshock, and my guitar and I wandered the woods behind my house with the dogs. I was happy ^_^
