Seventeen years ago, today

I came in to this world ^_^ Yes, today is my birthday. I'm seventeen now. Seem so strange to be saying that. I was like yesterday, when I first popped online. So weird.

Anyway, Mom took me out to Olive Garden for my birthday lunch. And, yeah, she betrayed me and my birthday to the staff. Needless to say, I was bright red, from head to toe o.o Thanks Mom. Love you Mom ^_^ <3 <3

Lee took me to dinner at Outback. He didn't need to do that. Seriously, I would have been happy just munching snacks on the couch with him. I would have been much happier in fact and a lot less redder too. But after dinner, as the staff gathered around the table with a mini BD cake, the line, "Et tu, Brute" popped into my head >.< Thanks Lee. Love you Lee ^_^ <3 <3

Yvonne also successfully turned me red, but only she saw it. Thanks Yvonne. Love you Yvonne ^_^ <3 <3

Kyle and Sammy failed in turning me red, but they weren't also trying. And, I don't mind. Thanks you too. Love you both ^_^ <3 <3

Happy St Patrick's Day!

I wish you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It's been over a month since I've posted. I've been neglecting this blog. The only excuse I have is that my offline life has precedence over my online life. Honestly, if you're online life is more important than your offline life, then you probably need to step back and look at your life as a whole. But, enough of that.

It's grey and overcast today. Soon, the rain will come along with the thunder and lightning. A storm is moving though Florida today. I'm sort of lucky at the moment that I'm in the cafeteria nomming this awesome pasta ^_^ I'm sure that when I'm on the way home, the rain will pounce upon me, much like Hobbes does Calvin ^_^ It's too gusty for a umbrella; either the wind would pull it from my hand, or it would send the rain from a different direction.

Personal life. Alice and I have gone our separate ways. We still email and talk, but it seems to a bit stiff and awkward. In time, even that will fade, much like Tayler and I. I love you Alice.  I love you Tayler. I wish you both well with your new paths. I'm sorry, but I have my own to follow.

Along my path is Lee. As I said in an earlier post, our relationship has mellowed out to the point that we might even forget about it and drift apart too. Lee has a lot on his mind with school and work and home. I fear that I might be pushed completely out of the picture and forgotten. But I know, Lee NEVER forgets me. No matter what is going on in his life, he does some silly, stupid, awesomely wonderful thing to remind me that I'm in his thoughts. <3 <3 I love him so much <3 <3 ^_^

Kyle has found himself a girl friend, Samantha (a.k.a. Sammy) ^_^ As strange as it sounds, they met on Valentine's Day. They were both at the beach baby sitting and just started talking. It wasn't until Kyle got home that he realized his attraction to her and apparently, the same thing happened with her ^_^ The problem was, they had no idea how to find the other. Then Fate stepped in, and them both going to Walmart at the same time ^_^ So, Kyle is almost completely out of the picture. Sounds sad, but it's not. He has someone very special and if things go the way they did with Lee and myself, he and Sammy will return ^_^

Yvonne's path seems to be intertwined with mine more than any of my other friends' (excluding Lee of course). There seems to be more to our friendship than I understand, more than just being besties. When Lee is unable to be there for me, she is almost always it there. I really need to think about our friendship before I can say too much.

Anyway, my pasta's gone and I think I caught a glimpse of the rain trying impatiently remain hidden behind a cloud.

Valentine's Is Approaching

In about a week, Valentine's Day will be upon us. I was planning on cooking dinner for Lee, but he has other plans for us. Ones that do not involve me laboring in the kitchen o.O ^_^ He originally wanted to take me some place very posh, but it came down to not enough money. So, I gave him some more with the reason that it was OUR Valentine's Day. So WE should both contribute. He's mulling the idea over. I know in the end, he'll see reason and take the money. Other than that, I won't meddle with his plans. After all, he is the one taking me out ^_^

Quick Update

It's been awhile since I've posted an update here. So, I thought that I might do a quick one. Dad was able to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays with us ^_^ It was a perfect holiday. I miss us being together. I like large families and gatherings. Maybe that's why I like Lee's family and Yvonne's and Kyle's too. They also treat me as one of their own, including being yelled at, given chores, etc. O.O LOL I don't mind ^_^

Lee and I: Our relationship seems to have mellowed out. It's not as intense as it was when we first started going together. Back then, it was like river rapids, exciting, exhilarating, never knowing what was next. Now, it's the same river, further downstream. It's slowed, but it's grown. It takes a lot more to disturb its surface. But there's the chance of us drifting apart without realizing it.

School: I aced all my classes and course last semester. I received Honors in Calculus I, American Literature, and Animation ^_^ Yay me! LOL. This semester, besides my homeroom of Programming, I'm taking: Creative Writing, Calculus II, Biology, Figure Drawing, Intercultural Humanities II, and Drawing II. So far, they're all awesome classes ^_^

Alice and Taytay (a.k.a. Tayler): Alice was once my bestie and Tayler was my online bestie. In both friendships, we've drifted apart. I still consider them friends, but no longer besties. And I think the friends part is only because of my memories of the good ole days. Tayler has for all practical purposes, vanished from my life. If I hear anything from her, it's because I initiated it. And then, it's usually a terse, polite response, nothing more. Alice is similar, but we do see each other from time to time and talk for a bit. However, neither of us goes out of way to do anything further. Oh well.

I think I'm going to head home now. The sun has warmed me up enough for the journey. Along with the corn chowder ^_^

Ding Dong!

Finals are over! Well, at least my college finals are done. I have a midterm next week in my high school class. After that, we have a two week winter break. Mom, Granddad, and I are going to visit my Grand Uncle in the ALF and my Aunts and Cousin on the way back. I haven't heard anything about Christmas from my Dad yet. He's been very busy of late. I'm hoping he will be here at a couple of days o.o I want to drive him around ^_^ I miss him so much.

Last night was Pizza and a Movie night. Lee's here of course, snoring, along with Kyle, Hannah, and Yvonne. These nights have become rarer than when we first started. Everyone's life is diverging. Separate life paths. Alice's has gone almost completely. We still talk and such, but we haven't hung out in like forever. That's kind of understandable. We never really had much in common. I think our bond was the familiarness of each other. Once we started finding people that had more in common with ourselves, that bond started dissolving. Life moves on.

Intermission

Movie and pizza night ^_^ And as the title of this post says, it's intermission.

It's been awhile since I posted and I don't like that. I'm afraid that it might become a habit and eventually, I'd abandon this blog all together. But at the same time, I'm not as obsessive about posting here as I used to be which is a good thing ^_^

Next week is Thanksgiving. Lee's going out of town to do it with family. He leaves Tuesday night and won't be back until Sunday. I'm going to miss him T_T But in a way, I'm going out of town too. We're doing Thanksgiving at my Grand Uncle's ALF which is out of town. Other than Thanksgiving, it looks like I'll be in town for the holiday. Yvonne and I are thinking of risking the mall on Black Friday. That's always frightening lol ^_^

Anyway, Lee wants me to finish up so we all can get back to the movie ^_^

BIrthdays, parties, restricted DLs

It was Triple Thursday today ^_^ First of all, I got my restricted Driver's Licence!!!! Freaking AWESOME! LOL ^_^ In my brilliancy, I made the appoint for late in the afternoon, after my tennis class. So all day long, all I could think about was the test o.o Finally, after tennis and getting cleaned up, mom took me to do the driving test. Yes, I had to flash my ID a couple of times especially to the person giving me the test >.< Anyway, needless to say, I got my DL!!! It's a restricted DL though. I can't drive between 11pm and 6am unless I'm accompanied by a licensed driver of 21+ years of age, or I'm driving to or from work. So, what does that mean for me? It means I can borrow the car without having to borrow mom too LOL ^_^ The downside, is that we only have one vehicle o.o Oh well, that's my next step ^_^

Second of the Triple Thursday is that it is Halloween!!! One of my favorite holidays ^_^ This year Yvonne became zombified as was Hannah; Kyle was Lord Death, a variation of his costume last year. As for me, I went as a mad scientist with Lee, my prince, as my monster creation ^_^ Throughout the party, I was randomly checking to make sure my monster's lips worked and he, mine ^_^ Lee and I came to Yvonne's party an hour late because of something important we needed to do...

Lee's birthday. The most important of Triple Thursday. He decided to have just me and his family this year. Amanda and Ryan, his older sister and brother, weren't there. So it was just the five of us: Lee, me, Hannah, and his mom and dad. There were few decorations for his BD. Most of the house was decked out for Halloween. Dinner was yummy, roast chicken and stuffing, green beans, corn on the cob (and on anyone that sat close to Hannah lol), mashed potatoes and gravy ^_^ Afterwards, Lee was forced to put on a birthday hat (I can be rather forceful ^_^) and we sang happy birthday while the candles were lit. He'll get his wish ^_^ Then Lee did presents while we all ate cake and ice cream.

For some reason, I made this day and evening sound kind of ordinary and it was far from that. It was so special to me. o.o I need sleep now or I'll doze off ATK before I post this.

Autumn is finally here

Yup! It's here and the cool weather is here too ^_^ It's been wonderful for almost a week now; barely hitting the mid 80's. I've been outside as much as possible of late because soon it'll start getting colder. I'm already wearing one of Lee's flan shirts as an oversized coat ^_^ Perhaps that's another reason why I like the chill ^_^

I'll be doing my Jack-o-Lantern up later today or tomorrow. I don't like doing it early because it can actually rot before Halloween o.o Trust me, personal experience on that >.<

This coming Thursday is triple special ^_^ It's Lee's birthday. It's Halloween. And, it's the day that I'll be going for my restricted driver's license ^_^ Triple awesomeness!! ^_^

I'm going to finish my lunch and head on home ^_^

Homecoming!

Tonight's the night, Homecoming ^_^ Lee's going to pick me up and all that stuff ^_^ It'll just be me and him to and from there ^_^ This year, Mom and Teagan picked out a little black dress for me ^_^ Yup! I now have one lol. Of course, I'll be accentuating it with a little color and such. But mom saw what I was thinking of and actually approved O.O Usually she just shakes her head and mumbles lol I'm so bouncy!!! I got to burn off some of this energy or I will be too hyper later o.o

Forgot to mention that...

Homecoming is in like two weeks: a week from this coming Friday. Lee's already asked me and I said "yes" of course ^_^ We both knew that we would be going together, but I really love it when he still does things formally ^_^ Yvonne and Kyle will be going together this year as are Alice and Sheila ^_^

My mom and I have a date this weekend to help me find something to wear. Teagan is going to meet us at the mall and her and mom will probably play dress up doll with me >.< I'm really not into the girly-girly stuff but they try. In the end, I end up with something that is not girly-girly enough for them but they'd accept it because it's probably as close as they'll get ^_^

Update

Another week with no posts. So, time to post something. For the last week or two, we've had torrential down pours almost daily. It was so bad some days that you could barely see very far. And one afternoon, it was so dark that it was like the sun had gone down four hours early. Parts of my backyard looked like small ponds. That didn't bother me nor the dogs :) However, both of my last week's tennis classes were rained out. I showed up for attendance then I was let go. That did suck.

On the brighter side, tomorrow is October ^_^ One of my favorite months because of what falls on its last day: Lee's birthday, Halloween, and this year, I'll be going for my driver's license ^_^ All three are awesome! LOL ^_^ Now, I'll be able to drive Lee around ^_^ Though, it's not like he hasn't had a sample of my driving skill already ^_^

Yvonne and I aren't sure what we'll be dressing up as for Halloween this year. We have a couple of ideas we've been thinking on. But mine might also be influenced by Lee's costume. And he's not sure if he will even dress up this year O.O I think he's just tormenting me >.<

Another week

Another week has gone by and I haven't updated this blog. I was afraid of that. If I didn't give myself a routine, I would get distracted too easily. Well, that's what's happening now. Now, do I give myself a routine to follow or do I keep going the way I am? I think I'll keep going as I currently am and see what happens later on.

Lee and I spent last night listening and dancing to the drum circle ^_^ It was a beautiful sunset ^_^ I wish I could capture it somehow. But it eludes cameras. Photos turn out flat and boring. I wonder if a 3D camera would have a better chance of capturing it? Maybe that's the problem with regular cameras: they flatten out the scene. But anyway, as I was saying, Lee and I spent the evening together at the beach ^_^ Afterwards, he treated me to a couple of ice cream sandwiches <3 I love those things ^_^ I'm not talking about the gourmet things like Klondike Bars and such. I'm talking about the just plain Jane ice cream sandwiches ^_^ Yeah, I have some simple tastes ^_^ lol He then took me home and kissed me good-night. It was a loong kiss good night. Kind of like five plus minutes long LOL ^_^ I love him soooo much!!!! <3<3<3

This morning, mom and I did our traditional shopping run and breakfast. Walmart has Halloween stuff out in full force! Yes! I didn't see anything that tickled my fancy just yet. Actually, everything tickled my fancy, just none of it seemed to scream to me ^_^ Actually, it is Halloween stuff so a good part of it screams LOLOLOL. Anyway, I'll be checking the other stores from this point on for ideas for my costume. After shopping with mom, Yvonne came over and we hung out for the rest of the day. I feel so comfortable with Yvonne <3 ^_^ We just listened to tons of my music and talked about nothing. <3 <3 A perfect end to the day ^_^

Checking in

It's been over a week now since I last updated my blog. So, I'm checking in and updating ^_^ Lee couldn't do the movie think last night. He's going out of town to visit family and won't be back until Sunday T_T And Kyle's sick with a cold. Who gets a cold in Summer?? Obviously Kyle does lol ^_^ So it was just Yvonne and me and she's currently curled up next to me breathing softly ^_^ <3 We're going to do the morning beach together with mom and then probably go to the mall and bookstore later. Maybe even tease Kyle a little lol ^_^

First day over

Lee picked me up this morning. It looks like he'll be my ride in the mornings this year ^_^ He's driven me around all summer, but something about him picking me up this morning just sent my heart go pitter-patter and stirred up the butterflies in my tummy <3

Homeroom: Programming in C++ This is going to be another awesome class. I only wish that it was college level. Yvonne is the only friend of mine that is in homeroom with me. Lee has Music, Kyle and Alice are in English.

My college courses for today were: American Literature, Animation I, and Calculus I. Tomorrow's courses will be: Physics, Drawing I, and Tennis I. As you can see, I'm still wishy-washy on my true major. I'll have to formally declare one very soon. But for now, I can grab as many interesting courses as possible ^_^

Canoeing

Yesterday we decided that we haven't done any canoeing lately. So, we're going canoeing today! We're also planning a sleepover at one of the islands tonight. This is going to be awesome! ^_^ I miss camping out in the woods. I did some camping during Summer camp. But there was like twenty of us. Tonight, it's only going to be seven of us: myself, Lee, Hannah, Kyle, Yvonne, and Rob and Mark (Yvonne's brothers). We were going to just borrow the canoes, Yvonne's mom found out and sent Rob and Mark to watch over us >.< It isn't that bad. They're cool ^_^ Anyway, we should be back tomorrow afternoon. I hope it doesn't rain (or maybe I hope it does ^_^) But it does look like it's trying too.

Sand and surf

The humidity is up and there's no breeze. Beach day! ^_^ Yvonne will be over in a little bit and then we're going to walk down to the beach. With luck, the old people won't be there because the sun will be much higher in the sky. They kind of remind me of vampires; afraid to come out in the light of day. Yvonne and I haven't yet decided if we're going to lounge in the sun and darken up, or actually be active and swim and such ^_^ I usually only wear my bikini if I'm tanning (and showing off). When I swim, play, etc., I wear my one-piece; there's much less of a chance of a wardrobe malfunction O.O I'm sure Lee wouldn't have a problem with my malfunction :P But I'm sure he would have a problem if he wasn't there for it LOL ^_^

Time is running out

I need to truly decide on what I want to do with my life with regards to education and a career. Lately, I've been losing interest in Mars. I doubt that I'll be the first person to set foot as there are already tons of people well ahead of me. I love art and music and science and kids and exploring and Lee (^_^) Programming is fun. It's like a puzzle game but with words. But I can't see myself trapped behind a desk in an office. That's not me at all. An artist's life is hand-to-mouth my mom says. You often get just enough to survive the next day. Even though mom's an artist, she does do more than just art. Lee's chosen the music path for himself. While I'd love to be in that part of his future too, I can't see myself doing the "office" thing: he's going to be a composer. I love science and all the tech, but that's also an "office" thing. Unless, it's a field researcher. But that'll have its downside too. Lee's career won't involve much travel. And field researchers often spend years in the field o.o

Maybe I'm still young enough that the thought of being in an office sounds horrible. Maybe when I'm older, I will actually seek out that office and desk and comfy chair and monotony. But for now, I need to think about the next five to ten years and where I will be during that time.

So why am I concerned at this moment? It's because school will start up in under a couple months and I need to really start thinking about my future in college. Yes, I'm still doing the dual enrollment thingy.

Home again, home again ^_^

I'm home ^_^ Camp was awesome even though it rained most of the time. Another tropical storm came through the Gulf I think. It missed us, but we still got the effects of it. This morning was probably the first day that had no rain clouds. It's like they came for camp too and left early. Yup. They were waiting for me at home >.< LOL Tom, Jack, and Sasha were all happy when I got home ^_^ I got pounce and rubbed and everything from all three at the same time. My butt is still a little sore from when Jack knocked me over.

This year was also kind of sad for me. It's my last year going. I'm too old now for camp T_T It seems that I'm too old for most camps now. I'll have to find something else to do next year. Kind of sucks growing up. But, on the bright side, I'll be able to get my driver's license in a few more months ^_^ So that's a plus. Not much of a plus, but a plus none the less.

Lee missed me a lot <3 I had tons of txtmsgs from him waiting even though he knew I wouldn't get them until I got home. We talked for like a couple of hours on the phone before mom made me get off--I needed to unpack, defunk, and put away my stuff >.< Anyway, everything's all done and I'm squeaky clean and smelling of coconuts ^_^ Lee's going to try to come over for a little while tonight. If things go right, maybe he'll inspect the squeaky clean, coconut girl and give his approval ^_^ LOL <3

Packing day

I think I've got everything packed for camp now. My backpack probably weighs as much as me. Come to think of it, my backpack probably weighs as much as me empty >.< lol ^_^ I'm going low tech. Only my smartphone is coming. My laptop, iPad, Kindle, etc., stays here. Swamps don't like technology. They seem to go out of their way to kill technology >.<

About my future posts. I'll be gone about a week; so don't expect any. Afterwards, I'm not sure how often I'll be posting. Like I said awhile back, the one post a day thing can be tedious when I have nothing interesting to talk about. Well, nothing interesting to me to talk about. I might switch to a weekly summary post instead of a daily post. But, I'm thinking that those posts can get quite long if I have a lot to say. I don't know. I have about a week to think about it more, if I remember.

Well, I'm going to chill out before I have to leave. Lee's going to be over to come with us when mom takes me to the bus. It'll be over a week before I see any of my friends and family T_T I love them all <3
