Halloween Party Part 2

The party was a freaking blast! I got to Yvonne's house and was assigned to carving Jack-o-lanterns. Not carving pumpkins. Not sculpting pumpkins. But creating jack-o-lanterns ^_^ As people started arriving, everyone did the final touches on their costumes. Mark and Rob vanished into the barn with various goodies; probably treats for themselves and their friends ^_^ Mom showed up around 6pm in her crazy-cat-lady costume which included a stuffed cat sitting on her head lol ^_^ Lee showed up about fifteen minutes later as an air pirate. He even had a stuffed parrot on his shoulder (which later, joined mom's cat on the back of a chair ^_^). OMG was he handsome <3 I so wanted to be kidnapped and pillaged by my pirate @_@ Teagan and Mike were beautiful together as zombies. Alice and Sheila were vampires. Kyle's ghoul costume was killer and Yvonne's goth vampire was to die for lol ^_^ More and more people started arriving, mostly little kids ^_^ I so want to have kids when I'm older <3 As soon as it was dark enough out, Mark and Rob, dressed as ghoulish butlers (think Riff Raff from Rocky Horror), escorted small groups of people in. The little kids got the silly cute scary tour of the haunted house. While the older kids and such got the full treatment o.o Alice, Sheila and Teagan decided not to go. So that left our group: myself, Lee, Yvonne, Mike and Kyle to go in. The twin ghouls relieved us of our Nerf weaponry before entering >.< While the haunted house wasn't professionally done, it easy beat most of the community run ones hands down. They did an awesome job. I was so hyped up afterwards LOL

Anyway, around 9pm I got mom's permission to go over to Lee's until 10pm and we slipped out with Lee's sister, Amanda. When we got there, Hannah was sleeping on the floor with her loot from trick-or-treating with mom and dad. She was so sweet sleeping in her sweets <3 Apparently, Lee's mom and dad were as exhausted as she was, that or we interrupted some snuggle time o.o Probably both ^_^ I had Lee get his guitar for me. It took me a little bit to get used to its size. And when I was ready, I gave Lee one of his presents: I played "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" for him. It sounded amateurish after all it was played by an amateur, but it was rather better than I was expecting. Lee was surprised and apparently so were the rest of his family o.o I forgot that they were there too o.o lol ^_^ Hannah was calling for an encore, but her mom and dad picked her up and took her to bed. Afterwards, Lee and I went into his room so that I could give him his private present from me <3 <3 ^_^

I'm home now, if that wasn't obvious and I'm thinking about Lee, if that wasn't obvious too. But I'm also thinking about his dad and if Lee is even half like his dad, I want to be with Lee for the rest of my life. Josh was a joke. I will fight for Lee.

Halloween Party and a special person's birthday

In a little bit, I'll be heading over the Yvonne's to help out with the decorations for her part. All of our friends are going to be there, even Lee. He promised and I just got a txt from him confirming it ^_^ From what Yvonne has been telling me about her family's previous parties, this is going to be a freaking blast! They have their barn set up as a haunted house and her brothers got some of their friends to help out in it. So, I'll be able to go through it and not know what's coming ^_^ Lee's going to show up between 6pm and 6:30pm. I already gave him his birthday kiss, but I'll be making sure that he has a few more before the night is over. We'll need to head over to his house afterwards so that I can give him his birthday presents ^_^

Sunday catch up

I spent most of today with mom catching up with stuff we should have done yesterday. Laundry, which I still have some in the washer, shopping, chores, etc. It was cloudy, but nice outside and we did some gardening also. Around 2pm we went over to granddad's to pick up some stuff he had gotten us. We ended up going out to for dinner and DQ and then some window shopping. Lee and I were txting the whole time. He seemed sad because he couldn't be with me today and I know that I was too. When mom and I finally got home, we found wedged in the front door a musical note cut out of blue paper with two words written on it, "miss you." Tomorrow is his birthday and Yvonne's party ^_^

Saturday Date

I slept with Lee last night O.O ^_^ Minds out of the gutter. We were watching "The Call of Cthulhu" on my living room floor and I fell asleep cuddled up against him ^_^ And that's how I woke up with him this morning too ^_^ He snuck out and headed home before mom got up. He didn't want to wake her. After mom got up and was functioning, we got breakfast at Burger King and then did some quick shopping at Walmart and came home. Around 10:30a, Lee calls and wants to know if I want to go to the Mote Marine Laboratory with him, he would pay for my ticket. Umm, let's see, umm, heck yeah! I've never been there before. He, his parents and his little sister, Hannah, picked me up an hour later and true to his word, he bought my ticket ^_^

What's cool about Mote is that unlike most aquariums and such, most of Mote's sea life comes from native Floridian habitats. So by visiting Mote, you get a rough idea of what is in the waters around the area. Mote also does shark research and helps sick and injured sea animals. It's divided into three builds: the main aquarium, the bird hospital, and the mammal and sea turtle tanks. The bird hospital takes in injured and sick birds and helps them back to health with hopes that they can be returned to nature. The unfortunate few that can't be released, are kept safe on the grounds until a new home can be found for them. The same is true of the sea mammals and sea turtles. They have two full sized manatees, a dolphin and three logger head sea turtles and a couple of hatchling sea turtles. I never realized how HUGE manatees are. I've only seen them in the canals and rivers, never up close and personal o.o In the aquarium, they have living exhibits representing local eco systems such as grass beds and mangroves. There is also a large tank with sharks and giant fish even a few that were injured and rescued. There was this massive Goliath Grouper in the tank. It was the size of a boulder and probably weighed as much. I've seen pictures of divers swimming next to one and being dwarfed by it's size. There was also a preserved giant squid there named "Molly." In the live fish tanks there were rays and crabs and jellyfish and sea horses and itsy bitsy tiny baby sea horses. Of course they where in a special tank to keep them from being eaten by everything else. But they were so cute ^_^

After doing Mote, Lee, and his parents, took me to dinner, again, his treat. They ordered portabella mushroom appetizer that was to die for. For dinner, I had penne pasta with mushrooms, artichoke hears, sundried tomaties, olives and olive oil and garlic. OMG was my tummy full ^_^ I ended up taking home a doggy box ^_^ And again, Lee paid for my dinner himself ^_^

Afterwards, we spent the rest of the evening down at the beach with the drummers. Hannah and I dance the whole time while Lee watched us and his parents slipped off to be by themselves. After a while, Hannah thought I looked tired and suggested that I rest and that she would keep me company ^_^ She fell asleep cuddled up between me and Lee ^_^

Volunteers and a vampire romance

No school today! YaY! Or so I thought. It rained. All day. Rain. Grrrr! >.< To make it worse, Lee's dad volunteered him to help out. No Lee either. T_T So, I volunteered myself to watch Lee work ^_^ and got volunteered to help O.O LOL ^_^ My friends volunteered to watch. But quickly volunteered to be elsewhere when they were almost volunteered to help too. Traitors!!!! LOL ^_^ Most of what I did was untangle and run cables and wires and be a gopher for the most part. People keep underestimating my age. Oh well, I got to be with Lee at least ^_^

Around 3:30p, 4pm, there was nothing more for me to do and I ended up heading home before I got volunteered for something else o.o It's pizza night and around 6pm mom brought home the usual along with Lee. O.O He got to my house at the same time as my mom ^_^ Pizza and Lee, what more can I ask for ^_^ We munched pizza and such then looked for a movie to watch. Halloween requires a monster movie and I found one that looked interesting: "Let the Right One In." It's about a 12 year old boy that is being bullied. A new neighbor moves into the apartment next to his and they have a 12 year old daughter. Friendship develops, then attraction, love <3 She helps him build up his courage to take on the bullies. She also happens to be a vampire. Not those stupid sparkly mamby-pamby ones from Twilight. But a true night dwelling, blood drinking vampire. I loved the movie. It had a happy ending too. That's something you don't see that often in true vampire movies ^_^

Anyway, Lee's searching for the next movie to watch and I need to do somethings before he queues up his find ^_^

Three day weekend!

Yay! I get tomorrow off. Some sort of professional day for the teachers. I think it's a mini vacation for them actually lol ^_^

Anyway, mom moved my curfew for tonight from 9pm to 11pm Love you mom <3 ^_^ Lee had to help his dad so he couldn't be with me T_T But, Yvonne and Kyle could ^_^ I miss hanging out with them so tonight was all the more fun ^_^ What's funny though is that during the summer we could thing of tons of things to do on the week nights. Tonight, we all drew a blank @_@ >.< We ended up at Yvonne's house playing poker with her brothers. Her mom struck down Mark's suggestion of strip poker lol ^_^ There was really no winner since after awhile, the game desintegrated into silliness ^_^ I think the final straw of sanity broke when Yvonne pulled out her Nerf gun and shot Rob when he stole one of her candybars from the pot LOL ^_^ Rob's dramatic death ended with his final words, "avenge my death!" At which point, Mark takes the gun from Yvonne and empties it on Rob. Mean while, Kyle grabs what little winings Rob had and asks oh so causually if there was time for another hand LOL ^_^ Rob quickly gets up to object and I cry out, "Zombie!" Chaos ensues.

Like I said earlier, I miss hanging out with them. I kind of wished that we could have spent the night tonight, but even though we have tomorrow off, Yvonne's parents didn't so we couldn't. o.o Oh well, at least we had fun tonight ^_^

Hump day

Today is officially Hump Day lol ^_^ Well, it would be if I had school this Friday. Looks like I totally forgot that we get Friday off. Some sort of professional day. Either way, it doesn't matter because... I get it off! YaY! ^_^ I'm going to see if mom will extend my curfew Thursday night to 11pm since I don't have school the next day. She probably will ^_^

I keep forgetting how hilarious Teagan's Mike is. He almost had me spewing milk from my nose during lunch ^_^ I hope Teagan keeps him, I like hanging around him ^_^

I wandered down to the thinking pond a little while ago. All the large fish seem to have gone. Probably inside some bird's tummy or turtle's tummy. But the eggs they laid during the summer had hatched awhile ago. Now there's tiny fish everywhere. Way too many to be eaten all up by hungry birds and turtles. The dragonflies aren't as numerous as they were during the summer and the anhinga that fished the pond hasn't been around in a long while. Even the water is dropping. I left my footprint on the shore line today and I'll see how long before it vanishes. It might not be that long since there's supposed to be showers this weekend. Anyway, I guess summer is winding down for another year.

A man with a plan ^_^

I did a 10k run tonight ^_^ The dogs were bouncy happy because of the weather. They actually could go with me the whole 10k instead of cheating and cutting across to wait for me. I'm happy that the could. Lee isn't into running but he is into skateboards and bikes. I'm good with skateboards, but nothing like him and I think we're both even when it comes to bikes ^_^

I wish he didn't have to work tonight. He does txt, but it's not the same. Anyway, that's what he does with his dad. He helps out and his dad pays him minimum wage reminding him that he gets free room and board. It was his own money that he used to buy us dinner and dessert after the homecoming dance. He also pays for his own gas for his scooter and such. He even saved up to buy himself his keyboard ^_^ A man with a plan lol ^_^

If the weather warms up enough, Tom and Jack are going to get baths. Probably the last ones for awhile in fact since they usually get their baths outside. Sasha gives herself a bath and sometimes tries to clean one of the dogs or me. Sandy paper tongue >.< lol ^_^

Well, I'm going to go practice my guitar, so it's time to end this post ^_^

Discoveries and practice

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Emilie! ^_^ Can you guess what language we're learning? We stared French in my Intro to Language class ^_^ So for the next quarter, I'll be learning and practicing French ^_^ I aced my Spanish final ^_^

Lee came over after school to help me with my guitar practice. Since mom wasn't home, he couldn't come inside, but he knew that already and we planned on it. I brought my amp and guitar outside and he had is acoustic guitar. It was really nice out back. We practiced play guitar and such until mom came home. Then we went inside and just practiced playing guitar LOL ^_^ Mom didn't seem to mind me playing without my headphones. Apparently I'm not as horrible now as I was when I first started. >.< I wanted to go into my room and play, but Lee said the living room was fine. Besides it had more space. But I really, really wanted to go into my room o.o Next time ^_^

Anyway, while practicing, we talked. He wants to compose the musical scores for movies. He said that often the background music for a scene makes or breaks it. I also found out that some of the pieces he plays is his own creation. And one or two of the pieces were inspired by his muse, me ^_^ Mom commented that, yes, I was very amusing at times >.< lol ^_^ He plans on making a good chunk of money early on in life. That way he can spend more time with his wife and kids later on and not worry too much about money and such. He would also like to travel before starting college. You got to see the world to understand things he said, or something like that. I wish he could have stayed longer, but his mom was picking him up after work. He would have walked home, but he had his guitar. And it wasn't until his mom pulled in, that he thought about leaving his guitar here overnight. o.o Oh well, another time.

Daytrip

Back from visiting my uncle. It's like a three hour trip one way to his ALF. And even longer from there to  home, probably because we always stop for dinner. But I like the ride. It winds through the hilly country and the trees. We always get off the main road and take the back roads because of the scenery and such. The trees up that way actually attempt to put on their fall colors. The ones by me just change different shades of green or just drop their leaves suddenly. It's so beautiful up that way, sometimes I wish I could live there. Then I remember, no cell phone signal, none of my friends, no Lee o.o

Anyway, I'm tired and I don't want to push my luck with mom, so I'll end this post now ^_^

Homecoming

Home. Finally ^_^ I wish we didn't have to go visit my uncle tomorrow; I could have stayed out later and who knows what might have happen o.o ^_^

Lee showed up at 6:30p. Mom answered the door and came to fetch me. OMG! He was so handsome!!! My heart flipflopped a million times. He gave me a Hong Kong orchid and softly said that he remembered how I beautiful I looked wearing them the other night. Then, a soft kiss on my cheek *scarlet red* Mom sets the rules, gives me a kiss and hug and whispers in my ear that Lee was right. Lee and I head off.

We get there and my ADD kicks in big time and I'm blissfully lost in it all. Teagan and Mike are there. She sees that I dressed as she suggested. She also notices that I've personalized the "look" ^_^ Alice and Sheila notice too. Kyle was blown away and Yvonne giggled and said she expected nothing less of me ^_^

Ceremonies, tradition, protocol, all soon dissolve into a free for all of music, dance, fun ^_^ Even Sheila seemed to loosen up ^_^ I was still lost in it all. Alice did and reigned me in a couple of times; focused me; centered me. But I didn't care and I still don't care. Lee figured out what was going on and took over from Alice.

It was all over in a blink. Two hours vanished in an instant. Lee took me to Chili's. Expensive for him. Or it would have been if Chili's didn't have the dinner for two special going ^_^ We did dessert at DQ, then he took me home, walked me to the door, but paused in the shadows for a kiss or two or three or more ^_^ <3 <3 So it took us like five or ten minutes to get to my front door. It's not the destination, it's the journey that counts ^_^

Another night to remember. And I'll remember it in my own way: the color and feel of the music, the blissful lostness. Lee. All mine.

Girly things

I'm posting this using my android. So it's going to be a short post.

Well, I spending tonight at Teagan's with Alice, Sheila and Yvonne being made into a girly girl >.< Tomorrow's homecoming and Teagan invite Yvonne and me over so she could help us with our makeup and such. At the last minute, Teagan decided it should be a girl's night and invited Alice and Sheila over too. Soon we were calling our parents asking for permission to sleep over. It was granted for all of us ^_^ So, were all here being made up, nomming pizza and drinking coke except me. No one will let me have any caffeine >.<

Another first

The school and town threw a "block party" for us kids tonight. It was only a couple of hours long and was over by six, six thirty. I got home after school, grabbed something to eat and a hoodie and headed over there. Kyle and Yvonne were already there and Teagan and Mike and Alice and Sheila showed up later. It was fun ^_^ Around five thirty, Lee shows up. He was supposed to be helping his dad, but his dad let him come if he came right back afterwards ^_^ YaY! His dad is so awesome ^_^ We all had a blast, though I had to be pried away from Lee to dance with Yvonne or  Alice or both ^_^ Eventually, it was time for Lee to go and I walked with him part way. The orchid trees were dropping tons of flowers every time the wind blew. So it was like snowing color and I was dancing and skipping through it and he was laughing and smiling and tossing more flowers at me. And then, he caught up with me, lifted my chin and kissed me. Just a soft kiss on the lips. And my insides turned to warm jelly that butterflies fluttered through. He kissed me once more then had to leave. I just stood there, not wanting the moment or feeling to end and waved. I think I said bye or something but I might have just mouthed it. I still had a few flowers in my hair when I got home. I want to preserve them forever.

A friend and parties

Yvonne came over after school and we just hung out together in my room. Mom wasn't home yet, so I was able to play my guitar without headphones. Yvonne commented that I was kind of good for a beginner. Maybe I am, who knows. It doesn't matter as long as I enjoy myself. And, hey, Yvonne continued to look through my art mags while I played instead of running away ^_^ Eventually my fingers began to get tired and sore and I ended up lying besides Yvonne looking with her. There should be a new issue of Juxtapoz coming out soon; my latest issue is October. Yvonne wondered why all the art shows were in California or New York and almost never by us. I said probably because they think Florida is filled with nothing but dying old peeps. She kind of agreed. We both want to see New York City during Christmas at least once in our lifetime. Yvonne headed home when mom got home. Her family was doing lasagna ^_^ So mom and I had grilled cheese sandwiches and reheated chili for dinner.

After dinner, Lee came over and we took off on his scooter. I did remember to bring my jacket because it's getting cold out. YaY! Winter is almost here ^_^ We ended up at the coffee/tea shop drinking hot cocoa (it was too late in the evening for me to be drinking caffeine). I kept sneaking sips out of his cup when he wasn't looking ^_^ I mentioned that Yvonne's family was doing a haunted house/ Halloween party thingy and wanted to know if he wanted to go. He said sure, but only if I would go with him this Saturday. "What's this Saturday?" "Homecoming" O.O Holy cow! I totally forgot! OMG! Lee asked me to the Homecoming Dance O.O OMG! When I finally got home and calmed down enough, I told mom and she was so happy for me ^_^

Halloween costumes

I have a working idea for my costume finally ^_^ I'm going to sketch it out first before I elaborate on it ^_^ But it consists of a Carnival mask and long dress and appropriate makeup for an unearthly undead witchy feeling ^_^ Alice is going as a goth vampire: black dress, very pale complexion, black makeup and such. ^_^ Yvonne is going as a zombie ^_^ And Kyle is going as a werewolf ^_^ I still don't know what Lee is going as, but he doesn't know what I'm going as either. So, I guess we're even there o.o I still haven't come up with an idea for a birthday present for him yet. That needs to be priority. I still like the idea of playing a song for him on my guitar. I'll do that in addition to getting him a present ^_^

Red Tide

Today was just gray all over and a tad gloomy. A cold front is supposed to be moving in later this week. But first another tropical disturbance needs to pass through. What's bad, is that we have an outbreak of red tide and if the disturbance makes landfall, it will push the red tide and dead fish on to the beach >.< I remember when I was like 8 or 9, I would wander along the beach after a bad outbreak just to see all the weird sea creatures that washed up. But mom can't stand the smell even though it never really bothered me. I guess I was just too curious about what I might find to notice. You can't walk barefoot even if you wanted to: jellyfish would also die and wash up along with catfish (poisonous dorsal spine) and other nasty things that you could step on. Red tide is generally just toxic to everything. People with breathing problems such as asthma need to stay indoors because it can cause fatal respiratory reactions. Anyway, thanks to the red tide and the storm in the gulf, the beach is off limits for awhile. No drummers T_T

I didn't get to see Lee all day. His teacher kept the class late so he couldn't get to me in time after lunch. And he needed to help his dad after school today. We txted and talked like forever, but it's not the same.

Books, cords and a bracelet

Lee left a little while ago. T_T It's getting dark and windy and cloudy and he didn't want to be caught out in the rain. Anyway, he gave me a friendship bracelet tonight. He made it himself. Sure it was from a kit, but he customized it. Instead of using the beads that came with it, he used five different beads, one for each of my friends' favorite colors: turquoise blue, crimson red, sapphire blue, emerald green, and moss green. for: Kyle, Yvonne, me, him, and Alice. It looks so simple and kiddish and it's so beautiful because it was made by him ^_^ Once he finished tying it on my wrist, I glomped him ^_^ LOL He was almost fully recovered by the time I came back from showing mom the bracelet ^_^ He makes me so happy <3 <3 Then I asked him why his friends weren't part of the bracelet and he mumbled something that he was sort of a loner. Awwww ;_;

And now, for those who don't want to hear about my sickly sweet hunk... :P

Mom and I went back out shopping again. Mom was thinking about doing something different for Christmas and stopped in to Home Depot for some ideas. Afterwards, we did our normal shopping run: the book where I picked up another book that doesn't exist in Kindle format, Micheal's and Best Buy, where I picked up another guitar cord/cable, and finally the grocery store where we finished the last of the food shopping. I practiced my guitar for about an hour then helped mom with dinner. Practiced my guitar some more then Lee came over ^_^

Morning shopping

Mom and I just got back from Walmart and finished putting away the groceries. I got a new Nerf gun and some batteries for my micro scale and a pair of cargo shorts. Pockets ^_^ It looks like our summer tradition is being put away for another year: going to the beach very early in the morning. The water is too cool to swim that early. In place of it, we'll probably start doing the farmer's markets on Saturday and eat breakfast out on Saturday mornings. I don't mind, but I'm going to miss the beach and such soon.

Harvest Festival

Today, the five of us, mom, granddad, Kyle, Yvonne, and myself, went to the Harvest Festival. For some reason, granddad wanted to get up there early, so the rest of us had to leave my house by nine this morning. We get to granddad's and all pile in his mini van and head up there. When we get there, the clouds start clearing up and the sun starts peeking through. We also know why granddad wanted to get there early: good parking.

We pay our admission and just a little way down the path there's a live tiger on display. It's from one of the local big cat shelters. They're using it to draw people in and hopefully get a few dollars in donations. The tiger was huge! and so beautiful ^_^ When we're finished looking at the tiger, we mob the funnel cake and elephant ear stand for our energy boost ^_^ Elephant ears are so good ^_^ It's now time for the parting of our ways.

We synchronize our watches, actually check our phones, set a rendezvous time and place, and the three of us wander off together while mom and granddad do their thing. The place was so big and the weather was so nice. Pumpkins everywhere. We wandered through the arts and crafts stalls, just looking and such. So many hand made jewelry vendors. It's like every other stall was selling jewelry. I saw lots of ideas that I can do myself ^_^ While we were standing around trying to think of what to see next, my internal instinct lead me blindly in a direction, dragging my friends behind. As we were rewarded with the treasure of treasures: the petting and feeding zoo ^_^ YaY! LOL Goats, with their beautiful eyes, a llama and donkey, sheep, geese, more beautiful eyed goats, chickens and peacocks, bunny rabbits, emus, chubby potbellied pigs and a deer with felt antlers ^_^ Oh, and even more goats ^_^ Yvonne and Kyle had to drag me away from the goats so that we could see the rest of the festival. They had a corn maze, but the corn wasn't very high, a hay maze for little kids, jugglers, a stunt plane (that was awesome), the caged motorcyclist, and a free circus. We wanted to see the circus but its next showtime was later than we were going to stay. Oh, there was another petting zoo with more goats ^_^ I only to say 'hi' and 'bye' to the goats as Kyle and Yvonne dragged me away >.<

Eventually, we had to meet up with mom and granddad and headed out. We ended up stopping in at the mall on the way home, then a few specialty shops where I picked up some marzipan ^_^ Finally, iHop where I wolfed down chocolate chip pancakes ^_^ We then headed back to granddad's and then home, after dropping Yvonne and Kyle off at their homes.

Today was a blast ^_^ I only wish Lee could have been there with me o.o Him and I txted the whole time. When we finally got home, we saw that he was there waiting for us ^_^ That was about 9pm and his curfew is 11pm. That gave use an hour and a half of time together ^_^ We filled it with a movie in the living room that we didn't even watch. Instead, we snuggled on the couch like last night, his fingers in my hair, me nuzzling into him, just softly talking about nothing. I listened to his heart beating the whole time and he smelled so good. I didn't want him to leave and mom said that he couldn't spend the night o.o

Egyptian God of Frustration

I actually have this poster of Daffy Duck in my room. Of course, my post is portrait and not landscape. Anyway, I wanted it the moment I saw the episode of Babylon 5 where Daffy is called the Egyptian God of Frustration ^_^ It soooo fits him ^_^

Ringed moon and festival

The clouds have kind of cleared away this morning. The moon is wearing a ring large enough to include Jupiter. It's still a little bit humid out, but the dogs didn't mind. I hope the weather gets better. Mom, granddad, Kyle, Yvonne, and myself are going to the Harvest Festival today and it would be nice that an Autumn festival have cool weather ^_^ As strange as this may seem, this will be my first Harvest Festival. I've never been to one. o.o It's going to be fun ^_^

Sasha is curled up in between my legs just purring her little head off ^_^ She, Tom and Jack seem to like Lee and he doesn't seem to mind them. This is good ^_^ Love me, love my "children" ^_^ I like, no, I love the way Lee makes me feel inside when I'm with him. I love him period <3 <3

Dancing on a moon lit beach

NOT! Red tide plus a fish kill put the beach off limits tonight. Who'd want to step on a dead fish >.< As for the moon light, nope, nada. Overcast skies saw to that >.< So we end up at the coffee shop downing mochas and munching cookies. Afterwards we wander over to mall and window shop, holding hands. Sometime during our window shopping, his arm is around me, holding me close. I'm all jelly inside, warm, liquidy jelly, anticipating the kiss the would later tonight. We wind up at his house, sitting on the couch, listening to his dad practice. I snuggle in close as his fingers play in my hair, sending soft, electric shivers through me. Without realizing, wanting to, I drift off. He wakes me softly and I remember curfew. I would have been late, but his dad gave me ride home. As for the impending kiss, never happened >.<

Cupcakes

I stopped past my locker on the way to lunch Humanities after lunch and found jammed in my locker door, a note. This was like the first one: a blue musical note. No words. Nothing. But it spoke to my heart <3 I looked around to find him, but nothing >.< I even waited outside my class until the bell. Nothing >.< A few moments later, my phone vibrates, "Did you get my note? :)" The rest of the days seems to drag on and on and on. I finally get home, changed and ride downtown to the coffee shop where he's already waiting ^_^ We get our mochas and find an out of the way booth. He's being so sweet, asking me how my day was and such and then excuses himself for the bathroom. When he comes back, he's carry this humongous chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles O.O He sets it down in front of me, "a cupcake for my cupcake." OMG, he is such a dorky sweetie ^_^ We share it but I think I ate most of it ^_^ I love him so much <3

Curfew and writing

Mom reset my curfew back to 9pm this morning ^_^ YaY ^_^ She said that she keeps forgetting that I'm not a little girl anymore and that I've proven many times that I'm a responsible young woman. Tears go away. Now! Okay, now, where was I? Oh, yeah, 9pm curfew ^_^ We all have 9pm curfews now, except Yvonne o.o She's going to see if she can get hers moved to 9pm too. She has the backing of her brothers ^_^ So, we're keeping our fingers crossed and toes and eyes LOL ^_^

Lunch today was love ^_^ They served yakisoba as one of the options. Yakisoba it stir fried noodles much like stir fried rice but with noodly goodness ^_^ I splurged and did thirds ^_^ And for dessert, a frosted brownie. Though, in my case, brownies as in plural ^_^

I have been reading over my main blog tonight. Ms. Lewis, my 8th grade Language Arts teacher said that keeping a blog or a journal would improve my writing. But, I haven't seen any noticeable improvement since the beginning of my blog and now. But she was right at least in one thing: it's much easier for me to write now than it was before I started my blog. I actually look forward to essay questions now. And writing assignments are quick and fun because I can spend more time actually learning about my topic than dreading the actual writing about it ^_^ Thank you Ms. Lewis... yet again ^_^

Trees

Spent another afternoon in my tree again. But this time Yvonne was with me and we talked girl stuff for like ever or until dinner time, which actually came first. Mom let her stay for dinner. We hung out, listening to music while she read my art magazines. Her curfew is also 8pm so she couldn't stay as long as we wanted her to. I miss her and Kyle and Alice and probably should spend more time with them.

Tree climbing

Lee had to help his dad after school so I was on my own this afternoon. Actually, he works for his dad. Anyway, after taking my dogs for a quick run, I went to my favorite climbing tree and sat in the highest branches thinking about my future and such. Every once in awhile, my thoughts were interrupted by a txtmsg or two or three from Lee to which I just had to respond ^_^

A quote from Steve Jobs

"When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: 'If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.' It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something." ~ Steve Jobs

Curfew sucks! And an important announcement

Why does my curfew have to be 8pm??? I could have been over at Lee's until 9pm and I don't mind walking home in the rain. I run in it, so what's so bad about walking in it? Grrrr >.< Oh well.

Anyway, I have an announcement to make to my online followers. All my friends already know this, so it's your turn...

Lee is my boy friend ^_^

No, this isn't the step that I talked about. It's more like catching my breath before the step. But it is an important point. I don't think I ever formally announced that Josh was my bf. Everyone just made the assumption that we were bf gf and I let it go at that. But this time, Lee is special and I want you all to know his part in my life. I knew it that very first night but didn't understand. But, now I do.

<3 <3 I love you Lee <3 <3

No beach today

We didn't do the beach this morning. The weather wouldn't allow us. It was still warm and such but there was a storm coming in. Instead we hung out around the house for awhile then went shopping. I got a new blue chair for my desk. Sasha more or less shredded my other one. It wasn't like I was using it very much. I prefer to sit on the floor or my bed. But I do have my desktop computer that I use for heavy computer stuff. We also did Taco Bell for lunch. Afterwards, mom dropped me off at Lee's. She keeps giving me looks like she knows something that I don't and smiles. o.o

Anyway, Lee and I hung out at the coffee shop where I got my caffeine boost ^_^ Then we went over to the bookstore for awhile. Around 4pm, Lee offered to take me to dinner at Chick-fil-A. How could I refuse, it's one of my favorite places ^_^ Actually, every food place is my favorite place LOL ^_^ As we were leaving, it started to rain. We made a mad dash for my house, it was closer and mom was home. We spent the rest of the evening playing video games, practicing my guitar, listening to him play for me, watching "The Walking Dead," and talking. I think the best parts were when he played for me. It was really just for me, I could see it in his eyes. And when we talked. He seemed genuinely interested in everything I said. Again, it was in his beautiful eyes and his attitude. I almost never saw that in Josh. Lee's curfew was getting close but mom offered to take him home. He had to leave his scooter here. He'll be by tomorrow to pick it up.

I think I'm in love. And that's what mom has known all along. And I'm scared. I know that soon, we will need to take the next step from which there will be no return. From that moment, everything will change, no going back. For some reason, I knew that step would never be with Josh. Why does this have to so freaking confusing!

Ice cream and first time

It rained this afternoon, nothing really much, just enough to wet the ground and me and my pups.

I met up with Yvonne and Kyle and Alice and spent the afternoon being teased about Lee >.< Around dinner time, we ended up at my house and did pizza! After all, it is pizza night ^_^ Lee was helping his dad so it worked out, me being with my closest friends and just them ^_^ Mom went out tonight with her friends. Kyle and his family were doing movie night, so he had to take off. Alice and Sheila had plans. That left Yvonne and me to hang out. We ended up downtown, pigging out on ice cream when we spotted Teagan and Mike playing kissy face ^_^ As we were sneaking over to them, I spotted Lee. Well, actually, Yvonne did and in a not so subtle way, helped me see him too >.< Then she pushed me towards him, motioning me to go. So, what could I do? ^_^ Love you Yvonne <3 ^_^

Anyway, I got to see Lee's house and his bedroom for the first time. His mom and little sis were there so I was safe ^_^ Easyest way to describe his room is to take my nest and expand it until it fills the room, toss in a double sized bed instead of twin and emphasize music instead of drawings and paintings and you'll have an idea ^_^ He pointed out our different art mediums, saying that his were auditory and mine were visual. I wonder what he would say if it knew that I kind of see and feel music more than hear it o.o We watched a movie in his room: Hanna. It was PG13 so his little sis couldn't watch it with us. Afterwards, his mom and little sis gave me a ride home ^_^ I think he would have wanted to kiss me good night but he seems very shy around his mom with me. Kind of weird since he likes to play music for crowds of people at the beach. But I kind of understand too.

Mom isn't home yet, but it's okay. She txted me that she would be home before midnight.

w00t! w00t! w00t!

I successfully rooted my android phone! ^_^ Okay, that's step one. Step two is finding a ROM to flash my phone with. That's more difficult o.o In fact, if I can't find a good ROM, then rooting my phone was just an exercise. You can't really do much without a custom ROM. What's bad is that I lose all my customizations and settings and such because I will literally be replacing the contents of my phone with the new ROM. >.< I wish I had known that before I got the phone. Oh well.

Lee left like 40 minutes ago. He's been coming over and spending time with me after my curfew and then leaving to get home before his. Tonight, he came in time for dinner: pancakes, bacon and eggs. We just hung out at the house until it was time for him to leave. He listened to me practice my guitar and showed me a few things (mind out of the gutter Taytay :P ^_^ ) The guitar is 7/8ths scale and slightly difficult for him to play but he's still much better than I am at the moment. Since I can't do anything more at the moment with my rooted phone, I think I'll practice ^_^ Then hunt down the tabs for a simple song and try that out ^_^

Steve Jobs passed away

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." -Steve Jobs

Clear night sky

A half full moon and stupid 8pm curfew >.< It's too nice a night to be trapped in the house so early. I barely made it home in time tonight. I know I wouldn't have if I hadn't got a lift on a scooter ^_^

I'm not sure if I'll be doing a second installment of my music lessons at the moment. Lee in his way knocked me upside my head. He said that I was spending way too much time book learning about music and playing the guitar. When asked how I learned to play a new video game, I told him that I just start playing and figure it out as I go along. It's more fun that way. He then said that what I should be doing to learn to play the guitar: Just do it! Yup, just like the Nike commercials. I should still read about chords and techniques and such. But I shouldn't worry about why everything is the way it is. To demonstrate, he took my guitar and just played, making it up as he went along, saying this is what he and the drummers did at the beach. Improv.

Warming up

Well, today was warmer than the past few days. So much for autumn temps. I hope the temp drops in time for Halloween. For some reason, Halloween needs to be chilly for it to be Halloween ^_^ Halloween is special this year because it's a particular someone's birthday ^_^ Do you realize how awesome it would be to have your birthday on Halloween??? Way too awesome to even imagine LOL ^_^ I need to learn a song on my guitar. No, not the "Notice Me" song, I think that I've been noticed ^_^ I'll give that to him as present for his birthday and something else too ^_^

I'm learning simple music theory with his help. The more I learn, the more interesting it becomes. Music is patterns upon patterns upon patterns. By changing a single pattern, you can change an entire piece, but usually not for the better. That's where the theory part comes into play. Some fundamentals: Music uses an alphabet of seven letters: A B C D E F G It then repeats itself. Each letter represents a whole note. On the guitar, each fret represents one half step. It takes two half steps, one whole step, to go from one whole note to the next whole note, except to go from a B to a C and an E to an F. Each of those takes only a half step. The extra half step between each of the remain notes is be called either a flat or a sharp. I haven't figured out when to call that note a sharp or a flat yet. Anyway, in between the A and B is the A sharp (A#) or the B flat (Bb). It's the same note A# = Bb. In between C and D, C# or Db. D and E, D# and Eb. And so on, except between B and C and E and F. There's no half steps in between them, so there's no sharps or flats. The collection of whole notes and half notes is called a scale. One of the more common scales is the Chromatic Scale. It is a collection of 12 notes each half a step apart. The one that is used most often as an example is the C Chromatic Scale. Going for low pitch to high pitch: C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B C and going back down: C B Bb A Ab G Gb F E Eb D Db C. Notice, no E#, Fb, B#, or Cb? Okay, that's one pattern.

The next pattern is called a major scale and it consists of seven notes separated by whole steps (W) and half steps (h) in this pattern: W-W-h-W-W-W-h. The C major scale is a common example of this: C D E F G A B. There is a whole step between C and D, and D and E. There is a half step between E and F. Whole steps between F and G, G and A, and A and B. And finally, there's a half step between B and C. It's called the C major scale because it starts on C. This was a simple scale, not much thinking was required to generate it. An example of a more complicated scale would be the E major scale. It's not just EFGABCD. Nope. That doesn't follow the WWhWWWh pattern. The easiest way to generate the E major scale is to apply the WWhWWWh pattern to the C Chromatic scale listed above. Since each of those notes is half a step, you just count off the steps starting with F. A whole step from F is G. A whole step from G is A. A half step from A is A# (or Bb). A whole step, two half steps, from A# is C. A whole step from C is D. From D is E. Finally, a half step from E is F. Why did we go from A# to C? Because we need to go to half steps. A half step from A# is B and a half step from B is C. Remember the exception in the previous paragraph? Patterns applied to patterns. Now toss into this mix chords and minor scales and such, each having a pattern to create them.

Anyway, enough of my babbling. Taytay, this is an example of how to teach what you don't know very well ^_^

Dragonfly squadrons

My thinking pond was quiet today, only squadrons of dragonflies patrolling the shoreline. Even the turtles seem to be in hiding. The autumn sun makes things look as though they're coming to a close. Days are shorter and the sun is further to the south. There's still algae in the pond, but soon the water will be crystal clear to the bottom. There's no gators in the pond, there hasn't been any for the longest time now.

Yard work day

To all the kids out there that want to mow their lawn but can't because they're not "old enough": Listen to your parents! Mowing the lawn looks cool and fun but in reality it's WORK! You think taking out the trash, picking up dog poop, cleaning out the litter box is fun? Mowing the lawn is almost as bad. So, next time you hear the lawn mower start up, do what every intelligent creature does: run the other way! >.< This public service announcement was brought to you by the letters M, L, and E ^_^

Yes, mom volunteered me to mow the lawn today since I did such a wonderful job of it last time. I found several fire ant mounds and two wasp nests. Luckily, they didn't find me. The lawn was dry so the mower blew tons of dust and dirt everywhere, mostly on me. But, the lawn looks so much nicer. My pups can run around and not look like they're swimming. Sasha is kind of annoyed. She liked playing tiger and stalking things, usually the dogs ^_^ I then helped mom cut some branches down and bundle them and weed and sweep the driveway. Once the work was done and I was showered, I could enjoy the outside.

It's freaking beautiful outside, even this time of night. I wish everyday of the year could be like this. Well, not really, but it would be nice if there were more days like this. Mom shut off the AC this morning and we opened the windows. I love the way the house smells after the windows have been opened for most of the day. It's an autumn scent. That's another reason I would like more days like this ^_^ But, when we couldn't have the windows open all day, mainly because of mowing the lawn. Just too much dust and such would have ended up in the house.

Lee came over after we finished the yard work and finally came inside. He got to see my "nest" which happened to be on the floor today. He also seemed to know what it was about o.O He thought my guitar was a nice beginner's guitar. He asked what good was a double eye patch. Huh? When I looked to see what he was talking about, he was holding up my blue bra that my stuffed dog was wearing as ear muffs O.O I'm sure I turned a glowing crimson as I snatched it away from him explaining to him that they're not eye patches but ear muffs. My stuffed dog was cold this morning >.< LOL OMG he has the most beautiful laugh. Anyway, he got to stay for dinner: chicken pot pies and homemade cookies ^_^ Afterwards, we watched "The Secret of Kells" It has an animation style similar to "Samurai Jack" It also happens to be one of my favs and Lee never saw it before either, but liked it too ^_^ He left for home like 30 minutes ago. Mom offered him a ride, but he had his scooter and would be fine. I got a txtmsg a few moments ago say that he made it home okay ^_^ and a few additional comments *^_^*

Brrrr!

It's cold this morning! It's like 8am, the sun is up and it's still 58F! I wish I remembered to look at the temp when I first got up. All I know is that I froze my little butt off when I took my pups running >.< But, it's a perfect day for yard work or so my mom tells me o.o

Drums at the beach

Mom and I went over to Micheal's today. I wanted to see if they had any art desks. They did, but they that interesting. We then went over to Best Buy and looked at the tablets to get an idea what the new Kindle Fire might be like ^_^ Then the bookstore but I didn't see anything interesting there. Mom then dropped me off downtown to meet up with Lee, we were txting back and forth most of the day.

It was about dinner time when we met up. He treated me to Taco Bell and almost fainted when he saw how much I could devour LOL ^_^ We went down to the beach because the drummers were there tonight. Lee's dad had Lee's guitar and basically tonight was a repeat of the first two nights with Lee except, this time we were friends ^_^ I danced as usual, but I was also dancing for Lee ^_^ His little sister was there dancing just because. She's such a cutie ^_^ Around 10pm, the drummers began breaking up and we help pack Lee's dad's car. While his dad and sister went for ice cream, Lee and I just kind of stood in the water's edge and watched the gulf. After a little while of quiet, his hand found mine o.o

They gave me a ride home so I wouldn't miss curfew. I still don't know exactly where Lee lives and he's still not seen the inside of my house. Maybe be soon.

Early morning shopping

We just got back from the farmer's market and breakfast. Mom got an eggplant that she's going to slice and fry and some Georgia peaches and an avocado. I have no idea why she got the avocado o.O Afterwards, we stopped into a diner and had breakfast, then the post office for stamps. It's too damn nice out to be inside and mom's pushed the yard work off until tomorrow. So maybe we'll be going shopping and such today ^_^

Lee's txted me several infinity times since last night ^_^ As soon as mom and I are finished hanging out, I'm going to meet up with him ^_^ I just hope that I don't get all confused and flabbergasted o.o

Chilly

It's chilly but beautiful out this morning. I could have run forever this morning. Even my dogs seemed full of energy ^_^ But, the chill also means no beach today o.o I guess summer is officially over now *le sigh* I think I'm going to practice my guitar for awhile if Sasha is willing. She's rubbing up against me, purring LOUDLY for attention. Such an attention whore LOL ^_^
