Today, the five of us, mom, granddad, Kyle, Yvonne, and myself, went to the Harvest Festival. For some reason, granddad wanted to get up there early, so the rest of us had to leave my house by nine this morning. We get to granddad's and all pile in his mini van and head up there. When we get there, the clouds start clearing up and the sun starts peeking through. We also know why granddad wanted to get there early: good parking.
We pay our admission and just a little way down the path there's a live tiger on display. It's from one of the local big cat shelters. They're using it to draw people in and hopefully get a few dollars in donations. The tiger was huge! and so beautiful ^_^ When we're finished looking at the tiger, we mob the funnel cake and elephant ear stand for our energy boost ^_^ Elephant ears are so good ^_^ It's now time for the parting of our ways.
We synchronize our watches, actually check our phones, set a rendezvous time and place, and the three of us wander off together while mom and granddad do their thing. The place was so big and the weather was so nice. Pumpkins everywhere. We wandered through the arts and crafts stalls, just looking and such. So many hand made jewelry vendors. It's like every other stall was selling jewelry. I saw lots of ideas that I can do myself ^_^ While we were standing around trying to think of what to see next, my internal instinct lead me blindly in a direction, dragging my friends behind. As we were rewarded with the treasure of treasures: the petting and feeding zoo ^_^ YaY! LOL Goats, with their beautiful eyes, a llama and donkey, sheep, geese, more beautiful eyed goats, chickens and peacocks, bunny rabbits, emus, chubby potbellied pigs and a deer with felt antlers ^_^ Oh, and even more goats ^_^ Yvonne and Kyle had to drag me away from the goats so that we could see the rest of the festival. They had a corn maze, but the corn wasn't very high, a hay maze for little kids, jugglers, a stunt plane (that was awesome), the caged motorcyclist, and a free circus. We wanted to see the circus but its next showtime was later than we were going to stay. Oh, there was another petting zoo with more goats ^_^ I only to say 'hi' and 'bye' to the goats as Kyle and Yvonne dragged me away >.<
Eventually, we had to meet up with mom and granddad and headed out. We ended up stopping in at the mall on the way home, then a few specialty shops where I picked up some marzipan ^_^ Finally, iHop where I wolfed down chocolate chip pancakes ^_^ We then headed back to granddad's and then home, after dropping Yvonne and Kyle off at their homes.
Today was a blast ^_^ I only wish Lee could have been there with me o.o Him and I txted the whole time. When we finally got home, we saw that he was there waiting for us ^_^ That was about 9pm and his curfew is 11pm. That gave use an hour and a half of time together ^_^ We filled it with a movie in the living room that we didn't even watch. Instead, we snuggled on the couch like last night, his fingers in my hair, me nuzzling into him, just softly talking about nothing. I listened to his heart beating the whole time and he smelled so good. I didn't want him to leave and mom said that he couldn't spend the night o.o
