Update

Another week with no posts. So, time to post something. For the last week or two, we've had torrential down pours almost daily. It was so bad some days that you could barely see very far. And one afternoon, it was so dark that it was like the sun had gone down four hours early. Parts of my backyard looked like small ponds. That didn't bother me nor the dogs :) However, both of my last week's tennis classes were rained out. I showed up for attendance then I was let go. That did suck.

On the brighter side, tomorrow is October ^_^ One of my favorite months because of what falls on its last day: Lee's birthday, Halloween, and this year, I'll be going for my driver's license ^_^ All three are awesome! LOL ^_^ Now, I'll be able to drive Lee around ^_^ Though, it's not like he hasn't had a sample of my driving skill already ^_^

Yvonne and I aren't sure what we'll be dressing up as for Halloween this year. We have a couple of ideas we've been thinking on. But mine might also be influenced by Lee's costume. And he's not sure if he will even dress up this year O.O I think he's just tormenting me >.<

Arf! Arf!

The dog days of Summer are here. It's going to get hotter as the month goes on. Add the daily rain, and you've got a sauna, everyday for the rest of the month. I don't know why it's called the Dog Days. My dogs don't like it. It's way too hot and humid for them. I haven't been taking them running with me lately because I don't want to risk them getting sick. But, I do take them for exploration walks though ^_^ They're happy ^_^

School starts in a couple of weeks, both high school and college. Our state does a "no sales tax" weekend for school supplies and clothes. That ended yesterday. Needless to say, I'm well stocked in jeans, tops, undies (some smexy ^_^), sandals, running shoes, etc. I don't really need much in school supplies, with almost everything being done electronically. But do get some nonetheless along with tons of art supplies ^_^

Mornings are quiet

I was outside twice this morning. The first was with the dogs. The second was just to be outside walking the the damp grass. The sun is just beginning to come up and the night creatures are singing their final chorus of the night while the day creatures are setting the stage. I couldn't really see the stars either time I was out: clouds. Yeah, occasionally one or two stars would peek through a gap in the clouds. But I had to be looking just for them. Looking up, into the sky, is one of the first things I always do when I step outside. This morning I was greeted by a few rain drops. But some mornings, the star-scape is freaking awesome! ^_^

Gray day

It's gray. It's humid. It's suffocating. I went running earlier and had to return home because I was worried about the dogs getting sick. I still finished my run, but was soaked from sweating so much. Maybe I'll meet up with my friends later at the beach ^_^

Just a heartbeat

It's been about a week since I posted an entry here and I thought it would be nice to let anyone that was following me know that I'm still alive and here ^_^

It's been a typical Summer with the weather and such. So, if you're curious about my weather, lookup a few of last year's posts lol ^_^

Grrr! Tom and Jack want to go for a walk now. Or in my case, a drag. LOL ^_^ I'll try to pop back here later and add some more content.

Home again, home again ^_^

I'm home ^_^ Camp was awesome even though it rained most of the time. Another tropical storm came through the Gulf I think. It missed us, but we still got the effects of it. This morning was probably the first day that had no rain clouds. It's like they came for camp too and left early. Yup. They were waiting for me at home >.< LOL Tom, Jack, and Sasha were all happy when I got home ^_^ I got pounce and rubbed and everything from all three at the same time. My butt is still a little sore from when Jack knocked me over.

This year was also kind of sad for me. It's my last year going. I'm too old now for camp T_T It seems that I'm too old for most camps now. I'll have to find something else to do next year. Kind of sucks growing up. But, on the bright side, I'll be able to get my driver's license in a few more months ^_^ So that's a plus. Not much of a plus, but a plus none the less.

Lee missed me a lot <3 I had tons of txtmsgs from him waiting even though he knew I wouldn't get them until I got home. We talked for like a couple of hours on the phone before mom made me get off--I needed to unpack, defunk, and put away my stuff >.< Anyway, everything's all done and I'm squeaky clean and smelling of coconuts ^_^ Lee's going to try to come over for a little while tonight. If things go right, maybe he'll inspect the squeaky clean, coconut girl and give his approval ^_^ LOL <3

Cloudy

It's cloudy, warm, and humid today. I didn't take the dogs running with me because I think it would be a little too much for them. I was soaked by the time I got home and it never even rained >.< I stopped by Walmart and picked up The Hobbit Lego set. It's the one that has Bilbo and Gollum and looks like it takes place where the riddle game was played. I love Legos ^_^ I still haven't purchased the Mindstorms sets even though there's tons of cool things you can do with them. One day, perhaps... Anyway, I need to shower and do some more laundry.

Still chilly

It's mid morning and it's still chilly outside. Not as bad as yesterday or the day before or the day before :p Both Tom and Jack are getting old and are beginning to show their age. Tom's about 9 years old and Jack's about 6 years old (soon to be 7). That's middle age for big dogs. I know that they have trouble keeping up with me when I run now. I was hoping it was just the heat and humidity. But even on cool days, they lag behind. Soon, I'll be running alone. Wow, that phrase has a lot of depressing undertones. It doesn't help that I just ticked another year closer to growing up. I need to find something to do before I get all blah feeling. I've got tons of neon stuff from my birthday. I'm going to go create :P ^_^

Movie night

Yup, it's that time of the week. Lee's here. Yvonne's here. Kyle's here. I'm here. Tom's here. Jack's here. Sasha's here. Mom's here (but she'll probably go into her room in a little bit). Hannah's grounded so she couldn't come. She blew off her chores and chose to go to a friend's house. Yup, been there, done that, got the t-shirt myself . Anyway, tonight's pizzas are different. We're making them ourselves ^_^ I've been making the dough in the bread machine all afternoon and tossing it into the fridge. Mom picked up the toppings and cheese and sauce on her way home from work. Sadly, we lost one pizza. Yeah, if you don't know how to toss-spin them, you're almost guaranteed to drop one. Poor pizza o.o

Rainy Wednesday

Rain and more rain. It's been raining on and off since last night. Everything is wet and soaked. But! It's warm outside ^_^ After dinner, I'm going to take Tom and Jack for a long walk through the woods. I love the smell of the woods after it rains ^_^ What's cool is that when I see forest scenes in movies, I almost can smell the woods. Except when I'm about to stuff a handle full of popcorn in my mouth; then I smell the yummy hot butter stuff ^_^ LOL

Wonderful day

Well, I successfully dodged most of the pranks and such. I navigated through my online feeds. Almost fell for the Minecraft 2.0 announcement. If MC had half the stuff the April Fool's prank has, it would be even more awesome ^_^ The pink, goofy Wither was so adorable ^_^ I want! ^_^ LOL For the most part, I played FTB, Bioshock, and my guitar and I wandered the woods behind my house with the dogs. I was happy ^_^

Rainy Monday

It's been raining most of the afternoon and still is. Though, it's not like it bothers me, I love the rain. Of course, Tom and Jack love it too ^_^ Sasha on the other hand prefers my dry, warm bed during the rain LOL ^_^

We're doing pasta tonight. Mom's in the kitchen doing the final preps and then we'll eat. I'm doing my part at the moment and staying out of her way >.< Hehe ^_^ And there's mom calling. YaY! Nomnom time for Emily LOL ^_^

Volunteering

I volunteered to help out with the kids at the art center today. One of the other volunteers wasn't going to be there; so they called me. I utterly love helping out with kids and jumped at the request ^_^ It's only from 9am to noon, but I always have fun. I love being around kids more than adults. Kids are so spontaneous ^_^ Anyway, I need to take the dogs running once the sun comes up and then get ready to head over to the center ^_^

Spring Break!

It's official, today is the first day of Spring break! Yes! It's also chilly out this morning. But, it's still nice enough out to take Tom and Jack running in a little bit ^_^ As for what I'm going to do on this glorious day, no idea. My friends and I are going to meet up later and hang out. Usually if we hang out long enough, when we look up, we find ourselves doing something fun ^_^

Running

Today was too nice of a day to waste sitting in side after school. So, I took the dogs for a 10k run. It was too easy. It felt almost like doing only 5k. I know that it's because of the chilled air, but still. It felt too easy. I think I'm going to start increasing my occasional 10k runs up in distance to maybe 15k. And also make my 10ks more frequent. I know during the summer, I'll probably only be able to do 5k and a 10k once in a great while, but I'll worry about that then ^_^

Cold Sunday

It's freaking cold again today >.< I'm actually under my comforter posting this entry. It'll only be a matter of time before the dogs think I'm playing and jump on me LOL ^_^ Anyway, one more week then Spring Break! Yes! Hehehe ^_^ Lee's going to be helping his dad most of the week, but he's going to try to do only part days. His dad's usually good about doing things like that ^_^.

Hide away day

It's cold today and gray and drizzly rain. One of those days you just want to hide from the weather. And that's what I'm doing at the moment :P Even my friends are hiding. Heck, even Tom and Jack aren't that thrilled to go outside. It's probably the combination of cold and wet that they don't like. Sooo, I've got my nest on my bed and I'm playing around with my acoustic guitar. It has such a different feel than my electric. It's bigger and I have to hold it differently because of that. I have to strum it relatively loudly; otherwise it sounds out of tune. And, I have to press harder on the frets to get clean notes. But, it's nice in the end because I don't have worry about getting tangled in cords and such ^_^ Don't get me wrong. My electric is my favorite guitar. It's just that right now, I don't want to mess with head phones and cables and such.

Still sore

Yeah, I'm still sore from last night and probably will be for the next few days o.o If it weren't for the soreness, I would say it was a good kind of soreness. But if there wasn't any soreness, then how could it be a good kind of soreness. Unless, having no soreness makes it a good kind of soreness. But that would mean that I have soreness even though it's a good kind o.O LOL ^_^ I'm going to take the dogs out in a little bit for a run. We'll see how far I can get. But, first, I have to wait for Sasha to stop being an attention whore >.< LOL ^_^

Sunny day

Today was another beautiful day. I spent most of it outside with Tom and Jack wandering the woods behind my house. Yvonne was with me most of the time too ^_^ We ended up at my secret clearing. It's been a long time since anyone has been there. I kind of thought that Alice would take Sheila there, but there was no sign of anyone having been there for awhile. Come to think of it, Alice was always a girly-girl and Sheila is too; being in the woods doesn't fit their style. But, Yvonne has no problem being out there. She's as much a tomboy as myself ^_^ Lee doesn't mind the woods, but he doesn't go into them without a reason. Kyle has no problem with wandering in them.

Nothing much

I've nothing much to write about today, besides it being beautiful outside and a short school day for me. Tom and Jack love weather like this. Neither too hot nor too cold, so they can run with me ^_^ Lee was going to see if he could get out of helping his dad tonight, but he couldn't. Oh well, txting is almost as good as being there, not!
