We just finished watching "Let Me In" a remake of the Swedish movie, "Let The Right One In" Of the two, I think the original is better. They used very minimal special effects just enough to give the feel of a supernatural creature. They let your mind fill in the missing details. And a person is more capable of imaging horror than any movie can show. The remake, which is in English, seemed to use the special effects to show that the girl was a vampire. No hints, no innuendo, no subtle clues. You visually saw that she was a monster. Very little left to the imagination. Maybe if I hadn't seen the original, I might have liked the remake more.
